Hi everyone - I know you're some way through this challenge, but I wondered if I might be able to join in from now until 21st July? I am generally quite good at not spending, but like all of us, need a bit of encouragement now and then to stop my lapsing into naughtiness!

So for the remainder of the challenge, if permitted, I’d like to stop buying:
    1. Any food that isn’t part of my grocery shop! Particularly chocolate, lunchtime spends and the biggy: sushi!
    2. Toiletries
    3. Clothes – and that includes my charity shop and car boot sale habit!!
    Overpay!
  • Hi everyone. Please please could I also join in? I am new to the site (only joined today). I am rubbish with my spending (particularly when new wonder cosmetics are advertised) and get sucked into their marketing very easily. I would like to (if allowed to join) give up on:-

    1. Toiletries/cosmetics.
    2. Any food not on my grocery list!
    3. Lunchtime spends.
    4. Biscuits/cakes for the children - determined to make my own healthier versions.
    5. Clothes.

Welcome aboard determinedtodoit and poorbutrich :hello:

I am sure magni will let you onboard.

The challenge works a treat and it has changed my thinking big style. I still need this level of support to keep me on the straight and narrow as my mind would wander off to the stock pile element again.

I find some days easier and some days more difficult as I browse the bargains on the high street. Have to remind myself I have more than enough of everything at the moment.

Next on the list to buy is a mascara if I can find out a good one that doesn't flake or smude  Does anyone know of one?

Lots of things coming to an end now, just scraping the ends of a bottle of shampoo and conditioner up at long last, another C+P aobut to finish off in the next couple of days alongside the other things I posted last week. Can't wait until the 2nd set of Ojoin shampoo and conditioner have gone that it one of my least favourite things I stockplied ridiculously before. No more Ojon for me and deffo no temptation from this weekend's TSV on QVC.

Sarah how are you doing my dear? All a bit quiet on here recently so I hope you are all ok

Ok, so two no spend days for me and taking a bag and a skirt back so will get back £37.

Just done my toiletry and perfume list - SHOCKING! I have 238 toiletry items, 18 bottles of perfume (50 - 100ml) and 19 (1.2 ml - 10ml) perfumes. So I can happily do another 3 100 day challenges if I chose to give up toiletries and perfume only, ha!

    Hi

I'm here to confess - I bought some chocolate today. Maltesers. And some toiletries that I wanted to try - I paid using vouchers but that's not the point.

Still plodding thorugh all my stuff - haven't finished anything recently!

    Hi all
Just a quick note to say I am still going strong. I have finished another shampoo,an Akin night facial moisturiser, Akin facial cleanser and am almost finished my dreaded avocado body moisturiser. I actually found another body moisturiser(unopened) tucked away in a basket that i had totally forgotten about so will look forward to opening that when I finish the 3 opened ones I already have going;).
    Take care

Hi all - by my reckoning I am now on around day 34 of this challenge and the toiletries has been a breeze - I am really enjoying using us all those "useless" little bottles / haf used ones and have not noticed a difference ( apart, of course from my moisteuriser - my full pot of clarins day cream is sitting on the shelf calling me but I am trying to be strong and use the smples up first!)

Not bying chocolate is more difficult and it has been known for me to go into a trance just gazing at those shelves of wonderful choccies. Just today I stood at the reduced shelf in Mr T's and gazed adoringly at a box of G&B's choccies. they were reduced - do they count I mused? In the end I put them back and moved on - I can have a sweet treat without reseorting to chocolate I decided.

    But its tough!!!

    Keep going everyone.

I'm back after a week's holiday and have just had a good catch up with this thread - welcome to those joining and well done to everyone not buying things, using things up and confessing to blips.

I ended up packing in a hurry so just grabbed new products rather than working out if part used ones would last the week so I've now got more part used things - but at least I didn't buy anything new.

Have used up another 5ml No7 Protect and perfect serum, cut the top off last night and scrapped the last out and onto a new one - it's certainly helping my skin though.

Used 2 mini bottles of bath soak and a hand cream in a present too so they've gone too and added the money I made just before I went away onto my Boots giftcard earlier - so £29.50 now :T

    Hi Yorkielass,

I've got a few of those Protect & Perfect serums, do you use it in the morning or at night? Never used mines cos didn't know when to.

Well I bought two Pantene Shampoo/Conditioner combos, 2 for £3. One is for holiday and the other is for when I'm running late and don't have time to use a separate shamp/cond. Considering this is most of the time, I go through loads of it, ha!

I use it between cleansing/toning and my moisturiser morning and night - I wasn't sure what to do but I found the following on the Boots website so did this and it seems to work:

    How to Use

    A little facial everyday…
Use No7 Protect & Perfect Beauty Serum after cleansing and toning, morning and night. Smooth into your face and neck with your fingertips, finishing with your No7 Protect & Perfect Eye Cream and No7 Protect & Perfect Day or Night Cream.

    Hope that helps
