I entered one of those house raffles at the end of last year which started to spring up where you bought a ticket or as many as you wanted and the prize was a house someone couldn't sell. They all ended up going down the drain as being deemed illegal gambling by the Gambling law people and most people haven't had a refund. I had a £100 ticket for a £455k house in Hampshire which got 'stuck' at £67k worth of tickets and they had their paypal account frozen . That's not the stupidest thing I've ever done financially (that award definitely goes to buying Northern Rock shares just before they went tits up and losing the money) but it's close

Well, yesterday was a washout work wise - well, paid work, anyway. I spend the morning feeling knackered and the afternoon on putting together my teaching file to hand in as part of my teacher training tomorrow. Then took Charlie and then it was gone 6, so back to knackered again! :rotfl:
Right...........today I am going to do £50 on AQA if I have to sit here all day!"Stay Wonky":D

Which hotel have you booked for Bristol BB ?
As I don't know the area, I didn't just want to pick one that's miles away from everywhereDon't Take Life too Seriously - Nobody gets out alive :rotfl:0 -
I don't know the area either Inky - I chose one near Templemeads. I'm in the Ramada Jarvis. I found a code for a reduction and then went through Quidco and the reviews seem ok so I went for it.
£50 doneGoing to hoover a couple of rooms and do the washing up now and might try to do another £20 in a bit.

Interesting day yesterday, emotionally/mentally.
I did £70 on AQA and even did some (but not a lot of!) housework!! It actually felt like a 'normal' day. OK, so I worked 6 hours, but I didn't have teaching to prepare for, or teacher training work to sort (all done and remainder is handed in today), ingredients to buy for teaching etc etc etc.
I was able to spend 2 hours with Charlie when I went to see him - I sat out in the garden of my old house in the sunshine as my ex was out for the day and I thought - when was the last time I was able to 'give' myself 2 hours???
In comparison to Sundays over the last 12 months it was really lovely and a productive day"Stay Wonky":D
