Jill i am sure we can give you some ideas for dinners. just post your routine and we all put our heads together
for once i'd say 6pm could be a bit late?! when do they go to bed?
and deffo be rather short with snacks and more like fruit and veg or just a drink.
mine are 3 and 5 (next month) and yes fussy!!! dd won't eat rice and ds won't eat pasta and both don't like potatoes (ds only mashed) and dd doesn't like mince and and and :rolleyes: - and i also (can't remember who posted that before) do try and respect their likes and dislikes. so if we have some meat then one gets rice the other one pasta (and i make a bit more and keep the rest in the fridge);
another thing is they don't have to have different things every day!! or warm meals once a day!! - if they are happy with sandwiches give them sandwiches! my ds had a jam sandwich for dinner earlier; sometimes even cereals with milk - dd had a pizza 4th dinner running  (and dh and i had the lovely lasagne all to ourselves :T)
don't overthink it and maybe a good idea to feed the little one first?! - do you sit down with them? - do you have a routine?
so! dd is in bed - she asked for it;
we had our 2 viewings earlier - luckily the estate agent showed them around this time. what are the odds? one child with chickenpox, 2 viewings and both are pregnant?!?!
house is nice and clean though, dh is at work tonight - so tv and fridge all to myself0 -

I too had a problem with the light pulls and keeping them looking clean. I solved it by taking the knob thing off the end and then threading large holed beads to match the decor onto the cord , put the knob thing back onthe thread and reknotted it and hey presto one snazzy light pull which still has to be kept clean but doesn't go a dirty colour.
BTW Toots my bathroom is all clean and shiney so please may I have a star for today:j.

:T Wow what a fantastic idea.:T0 -
rosepink: geocaching is kind of a treasure hunt! we've got a handheld gps and you put in some coordinates where someone has hidden a 'treasure' - there are different sizes and some even virtual - and you go and try to find it. they can be round in completly different areas like one was under a parkbench (like a magnet the size of a matchbox), many are in the woods (like in logs or hollow trees). some give you hints where to look or some make it quite difficult with you a clue at the first spot and have to figure out the next spot to look.
it's nothing of value to find - just silly small things really and each of them has a logbook where you put your name down that you've found it! - we are quite new to this but you could even find likeminded on the website and make a big thing of it and go in a group or so .. i guess
it's fun ... honest- if you can agree with your dh on a walking direction

Right we have had lift off in this house this evening and oh Toots - when you're ready and up to it love - hope today went well - a Wednesday star please. I even washed the utility room floor as I was in that area.
Off to do stir fry beef for dinner.
Wednesday - bathroom, study and other grotty places!
And I can add to my fling thing:- 1 tatty duvet cover that's no use to man nor beast anymore. 1 tin of balti vegetable curry that no-one knows who bought and is out of date. 1 lot of redundant papers from the notice board. 1 driver CD for a printer I no longer have. 2 leadless pencils. 1 worn out scourer. 2 packets of christmas chocolate coins - BBE April 2008
- 1 set of fixing instructions for a shower that was fixed months ago. 1 charger for a mobile that is no longer in existence. 1 set square. 1 old business card. 1 chewed and useless dog lead. 1 x lot of loose change recycled in £50.00's worth of notes courtesy of the corner shop
- Note I did not cheat and add on every individual coin....
- 6 pieces of wood from garden gone to best friend up the road. 1 half of a hair clip (don't know where the other half is). 1 Which magazine from January
- 1 book sent in the post for RosePink, 1 old Staples catalogue, 1 jiffy bag, 4 plant labels, 2 dead plants, 2 useless plant pots, 3 old Christmas cards
- 1 lot of dust from behind the PC desk, 1 old furry choc drop (maybe doggy, may be human but has gone binwards anyway)
- 6 hairs from bathroom plug hole (I know it's gross RoseP - but if I don't do it, no-one else will! They were DiL's again!). 1 random plastic lid to something or other.

Just a quickie as dinner all finished and tidied up. Greenbee - since I started on the i-measure site i've also started putting my readings in to my provider monthly rather than when I remember. I've just put them in and my direct debit has been reduced by £26 a month! I'm really chuffed as it's based on Winter / Spring! The main difference is that when i'm cold I put another layer on....if I'm still cold I put the heating on but it's not been on for a least a month now! Thanks for pointing me to that site as it's made me more aware xx
Another 60 in 60 and then i'm going to call it a day.
If i've missed LL's birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
Hugs tootles xx0 -
Abbie, hope you soon get over the morning sickness stage
Welcome to the thread Roxy!
Mudbath, hope your dad’s op goes well. Bleeding behind the eye doesn’t sound good, hope they sort it
Hi Poohbear, whens the wedding and who’s is it? Hope you get everything done!
Jill, as AnW’s mum said we need to stamp on that thought of it being better not to be here. Our families would be devastated, and I can’t bear the thought of leaving DH all alone. We have to keep going. You can do it, and so can I.
Hugs Hex, hope the grim day turns in to a better evening and a nicer day tomorrow
Soappie I am dead impressed with Royal Mail! Your book arrived in today’s post! And something that I know wasn’t sent to me until at least 2pm yesterday, as I spoke to the people just before that and that’s when they decided to post it to me. So that’s very very quick! Thanks! I’m going to read it when I’ve finished my library books as they must be due back soon
Sarah I’m so glad things are so much better for you and Mr Shattered
Just looked out of window and there is a cat sitting on the roof of our neighbours car having a wash! It’s such a funny sight! You rarely see a cat sitting on the roof of a car! Perhaps it is watching the sun set, which is pretty but sinking behind the houses opposite.
I've caught up with you all! Yay! Now I'm going to wash up at least 5 things. I'm dead tired, but need to do something or the kitchen will become impossible again."Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

evening everbody!!
LadyL and sexymouse hope you had a lovely lunch together.
SS supergirl - silly bunny:rotfl::rotfl: is it getting old? well done the girls:T:T
TAG could you be an angel and tell me about cleaning the light pulls? its actually the blind pull that needs a clean up. ok just seen it further up the thread - will be doing that tomorrow.:A:A
Mooloo hope you are feeling better - you will have to learn to pace yourself a bit more (says she who should but doesnt:rotfl:) its so easy to get carried away and then pay for it later. have an easy sitting down day - I am sure there are things that need sorting from the sofa.
rosepink please dont talk like that - I, (and some of the others) find it very hard - try very hard to love yourself more and love and appreciate the people around you - if the pain is causing you so much distress you REALLY need to do something about it - there are pain management clinics that do great work -please dont put off going to the doctor go and see about it soon and ask for more help and advice- maybe the medication you are on is not suited to you - depression is a terrible illness and its not always possible to treat yourself. ((hugs))
witchypoo great news about the cooker and the discount - thank goodness i now have a hob - the spaces down the side etc are a nightmare!!
AnW's Mum :rotfl:prunes.... did you dye them as well?:rotfl:
valli - your engine is in overdrive :rotfl:...well done to you
laura thats great when someone recognises the work you are doing - I bet you felt chuffed:T:T
vix plodding is good - I like plodding along too - it may take us longer but you will see differences each week.
Jo - you are coping fine - you will make a good life for you 2 (or 3) re the curtains - if they are worth selling on ebay you could always make it local pick up - but if its the right curtains someone would be willing to pay parcel post.laura2481 - nice that he noticed(mine never has).
On the way back to the car, we passed the charity shop, and they had already put all of dd's old toys in the window! Put it this way, I had some explaining to do and now I feel really guilty.
Had really bad morning sickness (more like all day sickness!_pale_) the past few days. My midwife said it is a good sign, so I will trust her on that one! It will all be worth it in the end, when we have our new addition to our familyI had better get on. Have a good afternoon. Love to you all xx
roxy7699 good to see you posting - thats the way just dive in and get a list sorted! hope the list and the thread help.
mudbath *positive healing and successful op* vibes for your dad and a big hug for both of you (((HUGS)))
Nice to see you vivw - can I ask whose wedding it is - tell me to get lost if you like!
JillD you have every right to be impressed you did really well and its such a great feeling to achieve things. I hope things keep getting better for you. was going to ask you the same questions about mealtimes as soappie and the same ideas - it might be worth a try until they improve a bit.
rosepink what a lovely outing for you both - that was a very thoughtful thing to do.
mummyyof5 hope the bath helps your back - awh bless your DS!!!
toots xxPeace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

Glad it arrived safely RoseP. I'm impressed with RM too. I posted the book around about 4.35pm yesterday afternoon (on my way home from work - at a little sub post office) first class. Enjoy!
Just had an  moment. Went to the freezer to get the beef out to find it was already defrosted because the freezer was off.
There's stuff on the top shelf that's slightly defrosted but the lower shelves seem fine. Looks like the the plug on the adaptor had been knocked out a bit. But, I'm being brave. I've plugged the thing back in again properly, shut the door and will hope we don't all get food poisoning from refreezing!

Sunnygirl - thanks for giving me the motivation to go. Really enjoyed it, off to do quick iron now.
Shell2001, good to see you posting again
One of my biggest clients went bust today (I am self employed mostly), they made sure they paid me yesterday bless them but it still leaves a big hole going forward hence the stressy day. Double fingers crossed for Friday.
Just off to iron and sort stuff for the morning. Working in the morning then quiet till Monday. Really need to go and clear the saw dust out of our bedroom, DH is still kindly building me a wardrobe.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Hugs Hex - sorry to hear about the company going bust xx
I also wanted to add thanks to everyone for sending best wishes for my dad. He's had a bleed behind one eye last year but they didn't do anything. This is a major bleed behind the good eye so they want to freeze it before it gets worse. Problem is that he's on warfarin so it makes it a bit more risky. Anyway....with all your good wishes behind him he will be fine!
Thanks again....i'm going to read in bed (no wonder my gas and electric bills are down!) xx0
