I was thinking it could be the compost because they swarm round my compost bin...they are small but clearly flies - fruit flies fold their wings one on top of the other and they lie over their backs - don't 'stick out' like bluebottles etc...
Look who wrote this LOL
Sometime even sealed compost bags have air holes BTW...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hi there.
Well I've been flying catchup since yesterday afternoon - too many meetings and classes since wednesday to fly as per pigpen's lists - but I have now finished them. That is the first time I have managed a whole week.
Rach the little flies could be scariad flies as they like compost. However they are harmless but I don't like any type of fly in the house. The compost will still be ok just store it outside of the house.

If I wrote a book about fascinating flies they'd be the type without wings LOL
ETA sometimes the thread 'opens' without Thanks buttons but they appear if I refresh. Anybody else spotted this?

Afternoon everyone, gorgeous day here. Spent most of it outside with the boys. Had a quiet birthday tea, and ds2 is thoroughly pleased with himself for getting loads of attention.
Kids back out in the garden so I have just whizzed through the Friday list and can now say it ALL DONE!!!! Woohoooooo, 5 stars for me.... first time EVER!!! Must keep this up. Off back into the garden with the boys now, its my turn to be the baddie and get shot a millioon times... Or is it light sabered to death... hard to keep up with them hehe.

Have decided that OH is not going to get the understairs cupboard cleared of all of his stuff, so I'm substituting clearing the coat cupboard and getting work bags ready (they live in there) instead. Have done 3 loads of laundry today, and as far as I can see, OH has only cut the lawns and hasn't done any of the things on my list I made him last week! He said that life isn't all about lists, it's about having fun, so I asked him if it was ok for me to stop doing all of the housework then! I said that I didn't think it was too much to ask for him to help me out by doing 4 things a week, when I do twice as much on a daily basis!
Sorry, rant over, just really gets on my nerves when all I've done all day is housework, and I catch him in the garage making bullets for his gun club!
I'm off to the gym when I've tidied the cupboard etc, so maybe running will get the anger out of my system.
Will post in a minute when I've got the cupboard done, as I expect by the time I've got back from the gym, that the new thread may be up and I won't have got my final star!

After preparing dinner this morning and having the SC on all day, DH has decided that he's not hungry:mad:. So what was the point in me preparing a beef dinner that the kids won't be bothered about anyway?NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20
