Large Wide Glass Vases for Wedding Reception. Advice Needed!

Hey all,
My wife-to-be is majorily stressing out over finding suitable large wide vases for the wedding flowers for the evening reception tables, and the 14 she had booked with Tesco fell through as they're being simply useless. We've scoured all over online looking for good alternatives, but she's not coming across any reasonably priced ones.
Do any MSE's here have any good suggestions on how to get hold of some at around the £8-£15 range per vase? We want the guests to be able to take them home at the end (should they wish to).
Any and all advice/help would be greatily appreciated! Oh, and happy easter too! :cheesy:

Have you tried Ikea? They often have vases and you could buy quite a few at a time. Also, often they are not expensive ( the last one I bought was £1.95)LBM: August 2006 £12,568.49 - DFD 22nd March 2012

Great if you have a store near you. Very wide necked and very expensive looking but only £12.99 each.
I really wanted to buy one but had a toddler and pram with me and didnt fancy my chances of getting it home in one piece!0 -
Not sure how large/wide they need to be, but M&S have a few well priced plain vases that flare out at the top. Might not be wide enough, but have a look:

How tall do they need to be? Sainsburys have hurricane vases, coloured and clear, for about £5. They are wide, and I think they would make a lovely table centre piece for flowers.Debt free as of July 2010 :j

Can I just add a word of warning - I went to an evening function last night where the flower arrangement was so large that you couldn't see the people on the other side of the table......many ended up on tables at the side of the room so that people on the table could talk to each other.
It might be a case of less is more - for an evening function that I organised I bought £1 vases from tesco and in each there were no more than two rose stems with a little fern and that white flower that is always with roses .....they looked so good people thought they had been done professionally.2014 Target;

Waterford have some beautiful ones, they aren't as cheap as you say you are looking for, they are around £100 each, but they look fantastic and your guests will appreciate the quality.0

As the OP had booked 14 vases with Tesco I hardly think that £100 each is very money saving - £1,400 on vases!!!:rolleyes:
I bought some very reasonable ones in Instore for my wedding last year - round fish-bowl type for £6 each and tall hurricane type for £4 each. I used the hurricane ones with small pebbles and a chunky candle in each. Guests were so impressed that several were taken home by them! (not that I minded - saved me having to do so!):T0
