You only get married once, so if you can't splash out then when can you?!
  • The last thing I would notice at a wedding would be the vases so in my opinion would be an extreme waste of money to spend £1400 on vases.

    Good luck OP.

  • I had hurricane lamps on the table at my wedding- they were fab and cost about £7 each from M&S. They don't seem to do them anymore, but as SkintGypsy says £5 from Sainsburys is a great price.

The beauty of going for something that cheap is you can just let guests take them home with them at the end of the night.

gypsophila a.k.a. baby's breath is the little white flower.

I agree, keep it simple and cheap, that way you're not gutted if no-one wants to stumble home drunk with a big glass vase.

E-bay may be your friend too.

p.s. Having a theme for tables and naming them went down a treat at s-i-l wedding, we were all named after castles instead of 1 to 10. Nice nametag of castle, saves having individual place names and the cost associated with that, and of course guests are always happier choosing where they want to sit instead of being dictated to!;)

Maybe have a red rose table, a pink carnation table, white lily?

Have you tried dunnelmill, either in store or they have a website as well. They always have loads of lovely vases and very reasonably priced.

Thanks for the replies everyone, much appreciated. :D

She's looking for low rectangular vases around 30cm long and she's considering going for acrylic vases as they seem to be the only ones that aren't too costly and would be long/wide enough for her.

I'll let her know about those hurricane vases though, so many thanks again. :)

Waterford have some beautiful ones, they aren't as cheap as you say you are looking for, they are around £100 each, but they look fantastic and your guests will appreciate the quality.

I would doubt that the guests will care what quality the table decorations are..........surely they're there to help celebrate a wonderful occasion not judge the tablewear.

14 vases at £100 each for the guests to take home :eek:
