Just so I'm clear (sorry, it takes a while to sink in!), I should send off my template "request for terms and conditions" letters to the original addresses on my statements, and enclose my £1, giving them 14 days to respond?
Then complain to each, enclosing the completed template questionnaire etc, using the complaints procedures and addresses you've kindly provided (step 1), before following up the complaint (step 2). And if all else fails, complain to FoS (step 3)?
Hiya
Sorry I was to post up the procedures for you and forgot, sorry again.
Right, you can make a request for your agreement if you want to by just writing a simple letter, enclose a £1 cheque or postal order, ask they supply by 12 days. I always do my own to be honest when requesting for the copy of the loan agreement. And of course add the loan account number details.
I would also post by recorded delivery as well.
However, if you know you were definately sold PPI and mis sold the product you do not actually have to request for any paperwork, and sometimes they send the copy of the loan agreement back with the first letter, this way is free, but its not guaranteed they will send it automatically.
To make a reclaim there is a reclaim questionnaire, these were issued by the FOS to save time later on, just in case your not happy with the final outcome. So keep copies of all you send and receive.
The questionnaire replaced the reclaim template letter on this site.
I would send to the addresses given on the links posted to you, and again post by signed for recorded delivery, they should then forward on to the relevant dept.
They have 8 weeks, and should keep you well informed of the progress of your complaint.
If your not happy with the final outcome then complain to the FOS.
So yes your heading the right direction on this.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Many thanks again. Northern Rock will be getting a letter to their Customer Relations team at Northern Rock House tomorrow!
The Nationwide link recommends phoning them or going into a branch (er, no thanks!). There is a number there for personal loans, but it isn't the same as the number on my statements.
The only address they provide for complaints is for their 'Member Service' at Kings Park Road, Northampton, if you've not had any satisfaction following their full complaints procedure (i.e. phone, response in 7 days, if you're not happy they have 28 days to respond, if you're still not happy, the Member Service have 56 days to respond).
I'm going to go straight to 'Member Service' - you don't think this could be seen as an issue?0 -

Hiya
just got back now, whatever dept you send it to, then they must or should forward your complaint on to the relevant dept, so they will forward your reclaim complaint on to the insurance compliance I would assume.
I think it should be ok, but if you want to double make sure, you could call the FOS who will have the direct addresses for the required dept, but obviously they will not be open now until office hours.
As I have not dealt with any of those companies before, so cannot say for sure for the correct/direct dept or the address.
If you decide to ring the loan company they should be able to forward you an address otherwise.:);)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Once again, thanks for your sound advice. I will ring FOS on Monday, just to make sure. I'll draft the letters in the meantime and have them ready to post, recorded delivery, on Monday. I'll also post those addresses on the forum, so others can benefit. Thankyou!0

Hello again,
Just called FOS and was given these addresses to send my 'terms & conditions' request to;
Egg Banking Plc
Riverside Road
Pride Park
DERBY
DE99 3GG
Nationwide Building Society
The Member Services Department
1st Floor
The Old Building
Kings Park Road
Moulton Park
NORTHAMPTON
NN3 6NW
Northern Rock (Asset Management) Plc
Prudhoe Building
The Regent Centre
Gosforth
NEWCASTLE-UPON-TYNE
NE3 4AW
Royal Bank of Scotland (MINT)
PO Box 31
42 St Andrews Square
EDINBURGH
EH2 2YE
The FOS said I should also use these addresses to obtain bank statements, for a charges claim (I appreciate this information relates to another topic).
The FOS could not give me the name that I should put on the £1 cheques I want to send to the four organisations above. Can anyone help on that front, or do I have to phone up each in turn, and ask them what name I should put on my cheque?
Many thanks0 -

With mine they have mainly been Lloyds TSB, I then write Lloyds TSB Bank PLC.
So for example yours:
EGG Banking PLC.
Nationwide Building Society.
Northern Rock PLC
The Royal Bank of Scotland (MINT).
And put your account number on the bank of the cheques, your postal code and last name.
For eg:
NR22 1BR
(1) for doornumber
Bloggs.
Hope this helps.;)

Thanks again di3004 - I did manage to find some names and details for making my cheques payable to, although unfortunately, I'd done the deed and left to post them before I read your response! Here are the 'made payable to' details I used on the £1 cheque for terms & conditions to Egg, Nationwide, Northern Rock or Mint (RBS);
Egg - I used this http://new.egg.com/visitor/0,,3_111998--View_2416,00.html, which says make your cheque payable to 'Egg, (Account holder Name(s), (Account Number)'. Cheques can take 7-10 business days to clear.
Nationwide Building Society - I used this http://www.nationwide.co.uk/search/DisplayArticle.aspx?article=1036, which says make your cheque payable to 'Nationwide Building Society - (insert your Personal Loan account number)'.
Northern Rock (Asset Management) Plc - I used details on a letter they sent, which says make cheques payable to 'NRAM (your name and account number)'.
Mint - I used details from an unused payment slip, which says make cheques payable to 'Mint, and write your MINT card number on the reverse of the cheque'.
Thanks
