Good morning everybody.................Diva, hurting for you dear....."You cant choose your family but you can choose your friends" Thank you for choosing us. I am trying to put the flat back together again after getting the boiler in. On Tuesday next I get the thermostat put in so that's that job done.

NOT AT ALL moneysaving, I had a friend of a friend come around yesterday to give me a quote on getting the flat painted. It has not been decorated since I moved in 9 years ago.....

So, I am still drinking coffee, surfing the net and contemplating the easter season.

    See you all later.....
Today, my BEST is good enough.

Morning folks. Not too bad a morning here - I've opened windows anyway and am sitting typing away in my PJs.

We had glorious sunshine yesterday - lots of families out and about. Hope it continues today.

I plan to tackle a massive pile of ironing today. It is not only a pile in a basket (overflowing) but also stuffed into 2 huge sports bags type of things (you know the kind...instead of suitcases). Now this may seem odd but in my defence, a lot of it is linen which I had stored in the loft and then took down and washed last summer(eeek). Have to sort out which table cloths etc I'm keeping and which to take down to the antique shop. Any she doesn't want will go to the charity shop. Another pile is DH's T shirts, trousers, shirts for work - some are last season's but I don't want to throw anything out in case he needs it. He is pretty ruthless though so I expect that pile to be sorted next week.

Our bedroom is looking peaceful now it's white and lacking its bookcase with stuff piled on it. I'm really pleased with the way it's shaping up.

We are putting the house on the market in the next couple of weeks. Does anyone have a link to an 'organise yourself' thread/ site for moving house? I thought flylady had one but couldn't find it.

Diva - I'm with the others - try hard not to let this upset you. I know it's hard though (((hugs)))

Sunny- good for you getting up and having a coffee. I think it's always worse when you are in bed awake - all things go through your head. I'm praying for a speedy transfer for your dad so you have them both home soon.

Penpin - hope that your pain is easing and that you are feeling a bit better.
Ok folks, hope you enjoy your day.

  • Morning all,
Sunnygirl - my thoughts are with you
Essexgirl - did you enjoy the Jam factory?
Diva - how awful. Don't let them get you down.

Am in my usual morning surfing spot - in bed, coffee, 2 spaniels snoring:rotfl:
Weather look decidedly grim - must be Easter:rotfl:
Will take the dogs down to the ford for a swim soon, then more pottering about in the garden. Must, must, must get the tatties planted this weekend otherwise my first earlies will be maincrop:rotfl:

Also plan to put Classic FM on the radio, pour a wee glass and tackle the European Ironing Mountain later.

Going to spend the evening with friends, hopefully BBQ'ing.
    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning Chums ,
weather looks definitely dodgy this morning .Very damp and drizzly at the moment .Good job I did all the washing yesterday and managed to get it dried and ironed ,only got to put it all away this morning ,I hate that job for some reason.
May make some cakes for the grandchildren this morning, tonight I'm off out to dinner with eldest DD and family .Its her MIL's birthday and her and her OH are coming down from London .She is a lovely lady, so all told there will be about 12 of us and we are going to an hotel near to Maidstone .So time to dress up a bit for a change, which will be nice .Tomorrow I'm at my youngest DD's and I will arrive bearing copious amounts of chocolate eggs for the tribe. She is sensible though and after they have got them they are allowed one each tomorrow then the rest is rationed out over the following week.
Only one more week to go before I'm off on my holiday to the Derbyshire Dales. I'm really looking forward to that as where we are staying has an indoor heated pool so a nice swim each morning should set me up for the day. Right off to have a shower and have some porridge for breakfast .Have a great week-end everyone and try not to eat too much chocolate
    Cheers JackieO

    Morning all,

Another dull lookind day here, but its not raining yet , plans for today include having a quick tidy round, 2 loads to do in the wm. And then get out walking :T, we will take our usual picnic, hopefully the rain will keep off. DD is seeing her dad.

I have a ham hock which I will put in the sc in a moment, which we will have for tea, with some nice bread, tomatoes and crisps, I have decided to have this sort of tea every saturday, as dd eats out with her dad, its nearly always chips and something so she never wants another meal, and its nice to have a day off from cooking a proper meal.

Diva, hugs to you hun, as someone else said, can you put the money you would have spent on presents into a bank account for you nephews ?, that way hopefully if they get in touch, you can give it to then, and they will know you havpe been thinking of them.

NPM, enjoy yourself today, have a good rest and recharge xx

Halight, hope you are ok xx

I miss kathys's posts too, hope she gets connected soon xx

Ok better get on, have good days all xx

Didn't know where else to put this so thought I'd ask my friends on this thread. When I'm pasting a link on a thread how do I get it from the long link to one word, such as 'here' in bold? Many thanks in anticipation & sorry if its so obvious to everyone except me :rotfl:
