Not taken mine back yet, but if you read previous posts you will see that everyone so far is getting refunded the shelf price per bottle. If you happen to be shopping at a particular store most weeks anyway, it's not really going out of your way to take the item back is it?

What is pretty shocking is the distinct lack of publicity over the recall - one small newspaper article and odd posts on some websites, not very good is it?

exactly my point - product sold off prior to weak publicity recall - My local Morrisons has notice saying "~ contact customer services " who will bother with that notice!!?/ NO mention of refund there..

also what / which shelf price - AS price reduced everywhere prior to recall notice - uncanny!! lol
  • i bought a couple of bottle from boots a few weeks ago and have only just spotted this , just went on the boots website and there is no info about it at all but customer services just confirmed the recall, i suffer from bronchitis so i'm not pleased...i wont be buying dentyl ph again after this.

i also have a small amount of another one that i bought a few months ago and funnily enough i did have a bad chest infection, although i do not know if it is related, i cant remember if i bought it at boots.

I called the 'helpline' and it is an answering machine!
I then called sainsburys who said i could return my 3 bottles to a store.
when i got there, there was no info on the CS desk about it at all
i had to get them to phone head office for a refund. they said they would only give me a gift card as no receipt, but i insisted on cash and got it!
I think its disgraceful that there is no info displayed in the stores, i would never have known if i had not stumbled across this thread...but i think that is the idea.
I also phoned boots and they said it was a 'minor production problem' which had prompted the recall..i did put her straight on that and informed her that actually it was bacterial contamination.

Took 11 bottles back to tesco today, including 2 half bottles. No problems with the refund. Got £29.08 and I paid £1 per bottle when they were on offer at morrisons so I made £18 profit!!!!

I took mine back to Asda last weekend and got £2.20 a bottle - seems like the refund price is going down!
