Sainsbo's just refunded 2 bottles and I know that I would only have bought the stuff if it was BOGOF so made a profit on that one.

Just confirm it is a grabbit... I think this was put in place to stop people spamming. This confirmation screen only comes up if you have posts lower than a certain limit (sorry don't know what the limit is)

Is it those mouthwashes from any time in the past or has the manufacturer only been producing it recently?
appartently there was a microbiological contamination at the processing plant three weeks ago so they have removed all current stock and obviously recalled old stock to be safe . the plant has now been sanitised and new stock will be in the stores soon and hopefully safe to use again . my family and i like it because its alcahol free and dosnt set your mouth on fire like many do.

..but email i got said as a precaution any mouthwash bought whenever ... could be returned and to any store that stocked it ....not necessarily where purchased ...as i got mines tesco home delivery and my local didnt stock it

our boots had taken them off shelves but no recall notice up about it ...i noticed in our local sainsburies they only had notice up about aquafresh kids mouthwash ....as they dont stock dentyl
  • :j I also had only 2 bottles BOGOF and got re-funded for both bottles at full price at Tesco.

I didn't actually even buy the stuff a friend did, I don't personally use it although she had used half a bottle, No reciept.

Funny thing is, is that I used to use it many years ago and was convinced that it had actually rotted my teeth.

You can really feel its tingly little micro ninjas chipping away at your teeth. :rotfl:

I also found the thing with there 'own brand' Mouthwashes a little strange.

I guess we will never know what its adverse affects really are. So expensive as well! I wish I had stock brought like the clever people who had brought like 4 or 5 :D

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1168716/Safety-fears-mouthwash-17-products-recalled-microbiological-problem.html
Thousands of bottles of mouthwash have been recalled over fears they could cause chest infections and make lung conditions worse.
The products, which include brands sold at Tesco, Asda and Morrisons, have been infected with a bacteria.
Yesterday the manufacturers urged customers who have bought bottles in the last three weeks to return them, for a full refund.
The bacteria, aerobic mesophile, will not trouble healthy people but could affect those with conditions such as cystic fibrosis, who are more susceptible to lung infections. It was discovered after routine tests.
Products affected include those by Dentimint, Dentyl and the supermarkets' own brands. No one has yet reported being affected after using the mouthwash.
A spokesman for the manufacturer, Robert McBride Ltd, said the recall was simply a 'precaution'.
He added: 'The immediate advice is for consumers to stop using the product and return the bottles to the retailer from which the product was bought.

'There is little, if any safety risk associated with the affected products. But those people who have a lung, respiratory or chest condition or a problem with their immune system, and have used one of the affected products, should as common practice seek GP advice.'
A total of 17 products were recalled. The manufacturer said it did not know how many bottles had been sold, but it thought 'a few thousand' could have been affected.
The production line has been cleared and closed while an investigation is carried out.
Colin McIntyre, managing director at Robert McBride Ltd, added: 'We apologise for this inconvenience and fresh stock will be delivered, when appropriate, to those retailers and customers affected.'
For a full list of affected products shoppers can call 0800 917 1187.
