What if you can't remember what store you purchased it from BOGOF (and have already used up half of one bottle!)

Take it back anywhere, regardless of how much you've used. As it's a product recall the retailer will claim the money back from the producer so they won't care.

...and if we HAVE used the stuff and subsequently used it all up, what symptoms should we be looking for? will my mouth fall off or something?!

This "contamination" is minimal and to have any real symptoms you would probably have to drink a few bottles, not gargle a cap full and spit it out!!! The recall is just to cover the manufacturers back. I wouldn't worry too much if you've used it. just take it back (Whatever is left in the bottle) and recieve a full refund. If you have Dentyl and your not sure where you got it from take it to any supermarket that stocks it. They will refund you and claim from manufacturer anyway.

Just got my money back on 4 Dentyl bottles (including one that had a dribble left at the bottom - I asked if they wanted that bottle back and she said it was fine!) - I *think* we got them on BOGOF, but got refunded all 4 at full price - no receipt (This was at Tesco)
