I found another bottle so took back 4 and a half. She tried asking me if I'd bought them on offer which I had so she was trying to refund me that until I pointed out that the supermarket would be claiming the full price back anyway, so I actually made a profit on them (even after petrol and parking).Illegitimi non carborundum.0

aaaah, so that's why my 3 local supermarkets don't have any Dentyl - wished they'd put a bleedin notice on the shelves though!0

I returned my 1/4 bottle of Dentyl to Islington Sainsbury. The staff at helpdesk asked a few times for a receipt from me. I replied her who would have kept a bloody receipt for a mouthwash. She then reluctantly refunded me. The thing I particularly feel surprised is, there is no one in this Sainsbury having any idea about the product recall.0

I took my bottle back to Sainsburys in Letchworth and was surprised that no-one knew anything about it, with even one supervisor telling the customer services girl to call head office. After they had rang, and was told that I was right, they gave me a full refund with no asking for a receipt. Maybe it was because it was a Saturday and no-one had bothered to tell the Saturday staff?
Thanks to OP for putting the original post in btw.0 -
Took mine back to Morrisons, got them two for one so just got the money back on one of them as the other only had a dribble left in it.
If you can't get to any supermarket, the woman on the helpline said to drain the bottles and send them to the company and they'll refund plus P&P.0 -
I took mine back to Sainsburys in Oldham, the girl said 'its amazing how they know that you buy their products and then inform you about the recall isnt it?' She obviously assumed thet they had informed me and was amazed, I didnt have the heart to tell her that Id read it on here and nobody had contacted me about the recall!0

...and if we HAVE used the stuff and subsequently used it all up, what symptoms should we be looking for? will my mouth fall off or something?!
Does anyone know what the symptoms are? I've used half - threequarters of a bottle!!!!
It may be a coincidence but over the past month i've had an inflamed throat-hole and a dry raspy type cough. I've used Dentyl in the past without this problem but I started using a new bottle around the same time the cough came0 -
i have bought two on BOGOF, and finished one of them therefore throwed the empty bottle. I had another one left. is there any problem if i go to store for refund?0

we took 3 back to Tesco yesterday (had stocked up 4 when bogof) 1 was full and unopened, 1 had half an inch left and the other was half full. Got full money back on the 3 bottles0

I never bought any from Sainsbury's in Islington, Letchworth, Oldham or anywhere else, and consequently I never returned any, with a dribble at the bottom or otherwise, and I didn't have a receipt, so I never asked for and never got a refund. Where's the grabbit?0
