Also repeated 2pm Sundays, Gardener's Question time is it's title and agree entirely with above, it is my regular Sunday "settle down with drink & listen time"

I'm afraid it was dire on Friday, I watched the whole thing on autopilot and even then had to turn it over a couple of times as my eyes were glazing over.

The bit where they sowed seeds with the little girl I thought was brilliant and I am going to show my DD that on iplayer, to those of you without kids I agree, terrible. The rest of the stuff with the little girl was a little weird and didn't seem right...

The stuff in the shed at the end again..... just awful.

Carols little group trying to get a place on the course, sorry I think I fell asleep.
I can't remember anything else apart from that horrible little shelving unit and the fact he kept going on how these little flowers (he bought in the post..........) were so brilliant. That shelving unit.... honestly, words fail me. My OH will concur, I was shouting at the tv at that point.

I quite enjoyed yesterday, haven't seen if for a while. I must admit it was a little long in places. Didnt like the pick 2 gardeners out of the bunch, landscaping someone's garden. Maybe 45 minutes tops is about right

I love there new garden and the greenhouse/sun room they have or and the painted shed looks lovely
  • I am glad its not just me!

We sat and watched ot and I couldn't believe how bad it was. I love gardening (especially veg) but it all seemed so pointless. I don't mind Toby or carol but the rest are a waste of space. Alys' dog was nice but I haven't seen him for a while...

The bit with the girl was dire, terrible, cringeworthy. My kids and OH said it was terrible too and I agree, the bit in the potting shed just seemed weird and odd.

I used to like Monty Don and Geoff Hamilton. The garden gnome bit was pointless and weird.

BBC...sort it out for goodness sake! AAAARGGHH!

I just wish the females wouldn't appear dressed up in all these silly fashionable scarves wrapped round them. Totally impractical. Probably some graduate Media Studies producer trying to make the programme appear fashionable and arty. Every proper gardener knows that the best gardening outfits consists of filthy boots, comfortable old jumpers with their elbows poking out and tatty old trousers which are at least a decade old :rotfl:

Glad I missed it then - although what happened in the the shed? Sounds intriqueing.

    It was truly dreadful.

And far too much money spent on those raised beds. £200 each - cripes; mine cost 50p per piece of reclaimed wood and we filled them with our own compost and the ones at the lottie were free from a man at the tip who was chucking away an old fence; so I nabbed the lot from him [I had followed him halfway across town hoping he was heading for the tip and he was].

They need to decide who their audience is and perhaps split into experienced and new gardeners - maybe the first half experienced and the second new....or alternate each week....but good grief it was cringeworthy. The gnomes just took the biscuit.
