Any1 read my last post ?

Has any1 ordered these 25cl bottles for the 1200 or 1000 points?

I've also used the 1200 points code but instead of ordering 25cl bottles I bought 12 x 75cl bottles of Lambrusco Rosso & Lambrusco Rosé which are quite cheap (about £1.85 each I think) because they're only 4% alcohol.

They were delivered a week ago and according to the receipt off the delivery man I only got 22 points and no bonus points. Having checked my balance I've still not had the 1200 points.

I really think that if Tesco are going to have ambiguous T&Cs (ie. "12 bottles of wine" without specifying size or minimum price) then they must honour the points. Otherwise they should specify on the voucher that each bottle must be 75cl or must be over £3, or whatever. You can't really blame customers for trying to get the points for the cheapest possible spend.

You think people would buy what they drink not buy the cheapest 'to get points' - why don't you save the money??

Wine points are never added on with the orders because there is a technical hitch. You will have to call them and ask for them to added. Lots of us are waiting for wine points from orders delivered ages ago. :(

Am I the only one who thinks that this kind of carry on by Tesco over the wine points is just not good enough?

This "technical hitch" has now been going on since October that I know of, and as mentioned in previous posts I have had to really battle to get my points, plus a little bit of compensation.

If they can get it more or less right with the grocery side, why on earth the problem with the wine side? Don't forget, that for those of us who do not necessarily save their vouchers/points to spend on holidays and the like, Tesco are holding on to our money - money that could be spent on more wine or groceries. It is just not good enough to state that they will be added "two days before the next cut-off", then when that doesn't happen it is another three months of battling to get the points added in time for the cut-off after that!

Does everyone have the same cut off dates? April sounds early... I didn't get my statement till 17th march for Feb's. I thought cut off would be the end of May then we get them in June?
I spoke to Tesco customer services a couple of weeks ago and was told that cut off was the end of April, so if worried about points being added to call about a week before and check whether they were on or not. If not then there would still be time to chase it up!
  • I ordered 12 bottles of cheap wine. I had to phone for the points and it was foul!
The next time I ordered some expensive wine at half price. Only half the order arrived but they say I'll still get the points. I'm glad about that but I'd have liked the half price wine!
  • I ordered wine with 1000 points code about a month ago, and although both on completion of my order and the following e-mail from Tesco confirmed the points, on delivery they were omitted and I merely received points for the value of the wine. I was reluctant to complain as having used loads of codes for groceries, my pre-end of Feb total was way over 10000 points and I didn't want to draw attention to myself. I therefore will not order wine for points as there are far too many people complaining that the points are not being added and it appears to me that it is just too risky.

    (

Because, to put it simply, I am spending about £22 to get 1200 points worth £48 in Deals, therefore I'm saving £26 off my next holiday and getting 12 bottles of cheap fizz for free.

That is ... if you can get the points - some of us have the most horrendous problems getting them!

If you wait until the statement comes, chances are you will not get the points and will then have to start chasing.

Best bet is to give customer services a call and ask them nicely to put the points on. It often helps if you tell them that you have another order to place but want to make sure your previous orders are sorted out before you place it.

They may well ask you where you got the code from. DO NOT say you got it from the internet, MSE, etc. Most of the wine codes come with mailings from Tesco wine club, so ensure you are signed up.

Above all be polite, because if you get into an argument you will get no help!
