Few people I've spoken to like gardeners are adamant we are in for a really hot summer! Great - the one year I'm heavily pregnant!!!
Glam, the year my mom was pregnant with me (I was born mid-August) was the hottest summer on record EVER back home...I still feel sorry for her, lol!! :rotfl:Apparently my dad was working nights, so she had to spend most of the day outside to keep from waking him up!!
Just means you get to eat lots of ice cream

Congrats on the boy Glam. and on feeling the kicks:beer:.
My bubbs has been moving around this week too. Fantastic feeling
, can't wait to see him or her on the scan next week.
All starting to seem quite real now. Had a strange dream like feel up until now, but since tummy has expanded at such a scary rate recently there is no doubting it anymore :j

Good luck to Claire - hope things are ok.
Yaaay to Mrs Moc! Pleased to hear they will hopefully let you home. Make sure you take it easy now. :T
I am very jealous of all of you who have had scans today. I am due around the same time, but I only get a 12 week scan (as I have probably moaned about before!). We could go private, but I would rather keep the money I think as we wouldn't want to find out the sex anyway. Would rather have a suprise. But it would be reassuring. I still haven't felt any kicking, and not even sure if I have felt any movement at all. We have a doppler and can hear the heartbeat, but can't wait to feel some movement. It's kind of the next milestone for me I suppose.
BTW, I like medium steak, and I went out for sushi last night. Yummmm. I had a humanist wedding and haven't been christened. And I am eating B&J Phish Food ice-cream. Think that's me caught up!0 -

I have finally caught up (whilst eating mini creme egg - yum!).
Tia -that sonographer sounds really horrible. I don't know why some people work in the jobs they do. I bet he wouldn't be happy if it was his wife in the same situation as you!
The talk of left hand and right hand side has reminded me - I'm finding it more and more difficult to get comfortable in bed now and have on several occasions woken up lying on my back. I always fall to sleep on my side (I know the left hand side is the suggested side, but I tend to fall asleep on whatever side feels the most comfortable at the time) and up until recently I've hardly moved in my sleep and I never used to wake up on my back. I know it's recommended not to sleep on your back, so do you think I'm doing any damage to me/the baby? I think it's something to do with the pressure on your spine, but to be honest, it hasn't been hurting my spine that I am aware of and it's a lot more comfortable than waking up with painful legs which is what I do when I've been on my sides. I wonder if I can feel the painful legs in my sleep, which is why I've been moving on to my back.0
