congrats on all the scans today - seems they all went really well!!!
Had my first GP appt today to get referred to MW (it was delayed b/c we just moved so had to register with new surgery) - finally! Went well - she was really nice & didn't have to take any test to confirm. Just been flipping through Emma's Diary...lol, it makes me laugh!! What's the free pack of stuff from Lloyd's pharmacy, anyone know?
The Lloyds pharmacy bag is pretty carp - a few samples like Bio Oil and Cocoa Buuter. Oh and a bottle of Peartiser.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Hi girls, have been lurking cos my keyboard is on its way out,, it took me about 5 minute just to type this !!!!!!!

Chopsticks, I was always told that you'll learn to move when it hurts.
And to put a pillow under my knees if I sleep on my back, helps take pressure off your spine. I slept like that with both the boys and even when I was in hospital nobody told me it was bad.
Only time I was told to lie on my left side was in labour.
Thanks Tia, I think I'll put a spare pillow on the floor tonight and then if I wake up on my back, I'll shove it under my knees.
I definitely move on to my back when it hurts to sleep on my sides, so that must be me learning!!0 -

Oh forgot to rabbit on about my dream last night! Hope it's not prophetic.
I dreamt that I went into my Chemistry exam and people started saying that I was mad to be there as I had had a baby only 3 days ago, how was she doing? To which I answered that she was doing well so far and there was no point me missing this exam as I have worked hard all year and at leass it took my mind off the baby for a few hours. I felt ok in the dream, had had a vaginal birth (I could tell), bit tired and dazed but ok.
I worked it out. It would mean she arrived on the 31st May when I was 27/2 weeks.0 -

Chopsticks, I think I read the thing about not sleeping on your back is about pressure on a particular nerve and making you feel dizzy when you get. Personally I wake up with cramp in my calves if I've been sleeping on my back so I try to avoid it - my heart sinks if I wake up on my back cos I think the second I flex my foot, my calf's going to cramp up!
I can only get to sleep on my left side now. I seem to be able to breathe more easily on my left
You know what, now you've said that, that is soooooooo true for me too.
Most times I've woken up on my back, I've stretched my legs and feet and either got cramp (v. painful!) or could feel the beginnings of cramp, so quickly stopped stretching.
Plus, yesterday morning I had a bit of a dizzy spell and I woke up on my back. Not sure if this was entirely related though, as I'd been up and went to the loo and it was only when I walked back into the bedroom that the room started to feel like it was moving.
Hmm, I wonder if, after I've woken up lying on my back, I should lie on my side for a couple of minutes before getting up and that will solve the cramp and dizziness issue.0 -
Oh tia, that might be a bit early !!!
Hopefully its just you being over tired and your mind doing silly things !!The two best things I have done with my life
