Glam, congrats on team blue!!! Is hubby tall?

Well, 5ft 10/11 so not really tall but taller than me (not exactly hard)

Sorry your scan was poop - I can't imagine getting someone with that attitude - they would be told straight. I've had 2 young girls who have done my NHS scans and they have both been fab.

Congrats on joining Team Blue, Glam! :D

Just looking at the list - efrieze and SugarSpun.. don't you both need pink icons? :) ETA: I think greent needs a blue, and we should have another birth soon as carly was going in today, wasn't she? :D

Skinty, the sonographer did three heartbeat measurements on Bob yesterday (28+2) and they were 122, 146 and 154bpm, all apparently perfectly fine for roundabout now :) I'm measuring 28cm today according to the midwife which is slightly above the average line on the chart in my notes. Was 24cm at 24+3.

Really must take another bump picture to go with my scan ones on FB.. :)

Been thinking about the errors in the sexing

my theory (for what its worth)

if they tell u it's a girl, I suppose they could miss the willy and that the margin of error could be higher than...........

if they tell u it's a boy, then they must have seen a willy/balls so the margin of error could be lower.

That's why I don't go with a full bladder! :rotfl:After 12 weeks you don't need one. Before 12 weeks it is to push the uterus up a bit and to enable them to quickly see if they are scanning in the right area.

They say it's to get a clear picture, but all mine have been clear and that's through a blubbery belly too.

Thanks elle. Bubba was asleep at the time so I guess it would be lower then, as when I count it at home it's more like 140-150. I'm not worried though as all is well :D

Yes - post a new pic! I love scan pix.

You don;t have to have a full bladder at any of the scans here - and I had great, clear pictures.

When I was told this is a girl, she was going on the basis that she could see '3 lines', the labia folds. But as she couldn't see round the front and check for the absence of a penis, she did say it was most likely a girl but could be a boy with his testes and penis pulled up, giving the impression of labia folds. It's most common to be told it's a girl and it to be a boy.

Glam, I think your theory isn't that far off the mark... Sometimes little girl bits can look like little boy bits though in the early days... But I did hear it's less likely to be a mistake if you're told boy... Our hospital will only give 70% accuracy, my friend who's due 2 weeks after me has been told a girl but she's not bought anything girly just in case...

I'm starving, hope hubby hurry's up with the crusty bread! Bah... 30mins till his normal return time... And he's got to pop into Tesco on the way...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
