Jenny, Vena Cava. Main artery delivering blood to your lower body. Makes me feel sick on my left side though.

My scan. Complete balls up. I sat for 45mins afte rmy appointment as scan department had taken my notes, but not me and failed to mention that I hadn't been scanned. Then I got !!!!!y at the radiographer when he asked in a proper snide voice 'uhm, so why do you need a re-scan?' After explaining that 1, he was to check the placenta, 2, he was to check the blood flow from me to the placenta and 3, it should say on my notes, he scanned, looked at the placenta and said yeah it's fine. Didn't check the blood flow but instead checked babies heart, which we allready knew was fine and moaned about how 'there is nothing here that I can see'. Tried explaining that he was checking the wrong thing and thought screw it. He did confirm it was still a girl, even if it was a condecending 'it doesn't just change overnight'.

Antenatal check, BP is fine, trace protein, listened to heart. All good. BP chart sent home with me to fill out.

Registrar review, why do they assume that if you are there alone you are a single parent? Wanted me signed off work, but it's great that I am at college, once I told him what I was studying he became a lot more friendly! Next scan at 28 weeks unless my consultant wants me to be scanned on the 27th May when I see her next. Weekly appointments after that. And they have identified a clotting problem I have so more bloods taken to check that out.

Just feeling rather bla now.

Hugs tia, why are some of them horrible?? And oh my god :mad: at the 45 min wait, I would of peed my pants sitting for that long with a full bladder.

Well, 5ft 10/11 so not really tall but taller than me (not exactly hard)

Sorry your scan was poop - I can't imagine getting someone with that attitude - they would be told straight. I've had 2 young girls who have done my NHS scans and they have both been fab.

Just looking at the list - efrieze and SugarSpun.. don't you both need pink icons? ETA: I think greent needs a blue, and we should have another birth soon as carly was going in today, wasn't she?

Skinty, the sonographer did three heartbeat measurements on Bob yesterday (28+2) and they were 122, 146 and 154bpm, all apparently perfectly fine for roundabout now I'm measuring 28cm today according to the midwife which is slightly above the average line on the chart in my notes. Was 24cm at 24+3.

Really must take another bump picture to go with my scan ones on FB..
