Mrs Tine - can I ask why if you don't believe are you having Roo baptised so she can be buried in a churchyard?

she also can't get married in a church unless she's christened (yes I know she can get that done herself when she's older if she wants) but on the other hand she can also opt out later if she so chooses.

It's also partly a compromise - DH wants her to be christened (he doesn't really believe either...) because he wants her to have PROPER Godparents... And ofcourse there is the MIL.... who DOES go to church and sings in a church choir and she very much disapproved of us not getting married in church or at least having a blessing after the civil ceremony.
Don't get me wrong I have nothing against people believing or going to church... just that I'm pagan and I don't go pushing MY beliefs on others and it gets my back up when she tries to force hers on me ;)

    Evening all

    Its sooo busy here.

Goodluck with your scan tomorrow Glam, I have mine tomorrow too :j

DH just happened to be here last Wednesday when I had my scan and he has now said he will be here every Wednesday.

As I have no idea what time it will be at, that means I have him with me all day tomorrow. :T

If my scan shows no further tearing, I will get out for a few hours this weekend again, so fingers crossed everyone.

MrsT we got Jasmine christened into my church as I wanted her to go to sunday school and make her own mind up. My mum goes every week so she takes her to sunday school. Apart from weddings and funerals and Jasmines christening, I havent been in a church in many many years.
I have no belief in God, but I was able to make that decision for myself, and I want Jasmine to be able to do the same.

Its a bit more difficult for us over here, as I am from a protestant family and Chris is from a Catholic family and both want Jasmine to know each religion, which I am happy for them to do, but feel it has to be her decision, not mine.
The two best things I have done with my life
