Thanks everyone for the kind comments.

I dont really want to be coming on and putting people in a downer but I dont my mum and DH knowing how scared I feel sometimes as im sure they are worried enough. Im trying to put a brave face on things.

I know im lucky in that I have my lappy, books dvd's and there is a tv. Plenty to keep me occupied. There are also some really lovely people on the ward as well and I have made some friends. Another girl is in a similar position but seems a lot braver than me.

I feel a bit better now, I think I just had a moment of freaking out. Im really squeamish about blood and things lol.

There is no way I will be allowing that doctor anywhere near me with more needles she was so rough!!

Just on for a little or a big moan!!!

I've started bleeding again so going home for Easter dinner looks like it will be off the menu.

And i have had a doctor come and really roughly put in a line in my arm, then shout at me for jumping.

I have had a little cry and now I just want to go home. I really hate needles as it is, and i always say let me get ready so I can look away but she practically stabbed me with it and I jumped and blood went everywhere.

Im so sad and scared now im bleeding again

    Mrs Moc,

I think you are incredibly brave, dont feel you have to put up with rough treatment just because they are wearing a white coat!!!

Deep breaths, cry when you need to and smile whenever you remember the good stuff!!

((hugs)) and a good dose of whatever hormone makes it all better!!

I also wouldn't recommend buying any for 'just in case' either... There's always the notion that you've paid for it, you might aswell use it... Whereas if there's nothing to fall back on then you're more likely to succeed at breastfeeding... There were a couple of times I thought I might give up with Aimee and I think if I'd of had formula in the house at 1am then I probably would of caved and given her a bottle... But because I didn't have the option, I stuck it out... And I'm glad I did...

I'd agree with that Krystal. There has been a few times when i've felt like i've got a baby permenantly attached to my boob, and if i'd had formula in the house i'd have used it!

Aghhh DILEMMA I was def gonna buy formula 'just in case' didnt want DH to have to rush out then get wrong stuff PLUS we live a bit rural.

Maybe a ready mixed carton would be the right way to go? anyone got any other thoughts on this???

I'm not BF so sorry cant give any advice.

OMG I've been having painful tightenings all day since i got up this morning, I managed to sit in the cinema the whole way through the film, but if it wasnt for DS I would of gone home after half hour it was agony.
I went to my mums but left aftert half hour and been in bed ever since, have had another big show, but am not getting my hopes up because it's a bit of a regular occurance, but It's making me feel really down, I've been quite tearful today.
Plus OH is off out to the dogs with his family and i'm gutted he aint invited me, and also worried just incase something happens, which so wont as this baby just wants to wind me up!

I felt awful around the 10 week mark. I think it went on for 2 or 3 weeks where I just couldn't be bothered to do anything. If DH hadn't cooked a meal each night, I wouldn't have eaten. At that point, work didn't know so it was hard work keeping up the pretence every day when I felt so tired so when I came home from work, all I wanted to do was lie on the sofa.

Mine did pass though, so hopefully yours will do. Take it easy and don't do too much. In fact, don't do anything you don't need to!

Same here, I had a week of feeling ok again, then the extreme tiredness came back. Im 11+1 and feel totally drained. Like you did, Im finding things at work really hard..nobody knows yet so to pretend everythings ok is tough! Can't even relax when Im not at work cos my dads still here staying with us (I posted about this weeks ago) and he doesn't know yet. Still, 12week scan on Wednesday then we are telling him and everyone else! On the day of my scan me and the kids have been invited out for a meal with friends and their kids and Im really looking forward to it cos I'll be able to tell them Im pregnant!!

AM what did you think to Monsters V Aliens? We liked it,thought funny in some parts but not as good as Monsters Inc.
God Im still pooped from yesterday..My baby turned 6 (OMG 6!!) he was up at some stupidly early hour to open his presents, don't know how he kept going all day,I had to lie down for abit at 2pm!! Then he threw up 3 times in the night poor thing. Fingers crossed for a good nights sleep tonight!!!

No worries AM im sure others will give me their thoughts. Sounds as if you really need to be prepared for the arrival of your bean!!

Bath and parecetomol seem to be the suggestion for early pains.
