Having taken part in pregnancy yoga classes since beng pregnant and before that I did 'standard yoga', I can offer my opinion, if it makes any difference.

The pregnancy yoga I am doing is more geared towards the relaxation stuff, and moves and poses to relieve pain/tension in areas of your body affected by pregnancy. It is hardly anything like normal yoga but still beneficial I feel. It focuses on techniques to help deal with pain and discomfort in labour and the birth, and is more (I feel) like an active birthing class than 'yoga'. I don't know why they call it yoga and if it was someones first experience of yoga then they'd be very confused when going to a normal class afterwards, thinking they had an understanding of what it's about when they really wouldn't! Though as I said, the class itself has been very beneficial for me to take part in, just the 'pregnancy yoga' title is misleading.

Just like all classes, some are good and some are rubbish, it depends on the teacher and content, just like all aerobics classes aren't the same, neither are all yoga classes so you really would have to attend to see if it suits you.

I'd second the trying a class or classes out.

I think I'm very lucky in that we are such a small class I often get to do birth positions and hip openers while the others are doing something else as my teacher is able to spend the time with me and is also interested in doing so.

I started swimming a couple of weeks before falling pregnant so I am trying to keep that up. Think it's probably the best exercise and the safest. Although this pregnancy yage sounds quite good. Anything to help deal with the pain of labour! :)

Does anyone know where I can get some navy blue maternity trousers (cheap if poss)

I work in a hospital and have to wear Navy trousers but my normal uniform is now tight I had stomach ache today! Unfortunaly they don't provide maternity trousers :rotfl:

I can't spend a fortune on them with them being for work.

There are a few on eBay at the mo. I just searched Navy Maternity Trousers and got 41 results. Bit trial and error whether they have your size, I guess.

my personal opinion is that it isnt worth any money to go there....lol. the first time i went i had a voucher and the second time i was dragged there on a work thing. i certainly wouldnt travel any length of time to go there and rides wise it isnt that great, especially if u have been to some of the better known theme parks. a 6 year old probably would have a good day but from an adults point of view if your into rides, you may be rather disappointed. i hate rides and I dont like the place at all, its pretty rough in my point of view, but everyones different. if its fairly close and you have a discount then give it a go but otherwise id probably put my money into something else for a fun day out for everyone hope that helps....;)

Benson, I got my navy trousers from eBay, they're made by Bjorn and me I think... They're extremely similar to NHS trousers!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
