Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Debt-free and Proud!
Its one I would rather not get involved in too !!!
People unfortunately get offended too easily when it comes to BF vs FF and there really is no right or wrong, just personal choice !! (or necessity)

I completely agree, I am staying well away from that subject!

Sounds like your having a ruff time. Do you belong to a union that you could talk to?

How long do you have left before Mat leave? Your boss may not want to buy a chair if it is for only a couple of months?? (even though it is the law that you are comfortable in work !!)
Put in writing that you have formally requested your risk assesment and keep copies of everything that you ask them for, just incase ....

no union, and i've been slowly watching them do this to a number of other people in the company so i know the signs....
I just don't need this right now....
If I were you I'd get signed up to a union tonight and book an app to speak to local CAB for advice ASAP

oh don't start talking about the parent thread! I've been not getting involved and doing my best to get them off topic but then someone comes and says I wasn't going to comment but...

i had initially planned to leave 2 weeks before my due date and take 2 weeks holiday before that, but to be honest I spend all day in a mess and panicking every time my boss comes towards my office convinced that it's all over...
right now i can't even face going in tomorrow, the thought of it just makes me want to curl up and cry...
Could you survive on sick pay? I'm pretty sure if you went to ur GP and explained all this they would have you signed off in a flash
Also have you got insurance things in place in case they do get rid of you (sorry I don't like saying that but can't think if the words)

  • Hypno, that sounds far too much of a stressful workplace and you have to think of you and baby. Lots of hugs.
