    Hi everyone!

New to this but had to tell someone! Me and OH decided to start trying for first baby last month thinking it would take maybe 6 months before we were successful. Came off pill about 6 weeks ago and now just found out i'm about 4 weeks pregnant!!
Was a bit of a shock so soon but over the moon. :rotfl: Made the decision beforehand that we weren't gonna tell anyone until 12 weeks, including the parents, so thought i'd post it on here so i don't explode!
Any hints & tips would be really appreciated. Still not really sunk in.

    Good Morning everyone!

Congratulations feelinggood on the birth of little Toby - bet your OH is relieved now! Hope you're feeling less achey soon.

Well I went for my first scan on Thurs and they said I am due 20th Oct instead of 23rd. Everything went well until I got home and went to get the photo out to show my Mum and my (v.excited) 6yr old DD when I realised that it was gone  I thought I'd been so careful about it. Was gutted.

Rang the hospital in a panic and they said they would look.......20 mins later they rang and said it was nowhere to be found but they would put me through to the ultrasound dept to see if they could do anything. The lady there said they only keep measurements on record and not actual photos but took my number and said she would speak to the sonographer when she got off lunch.

In the meantime my little girl had disappeared upstairs and said I wasn't allowed to go into her room but kept emerging every so often to look for coloured pencils. She came down 20mins later and proudly showed me her own "scan photo" that she'd made complete with a boy AND girl (obv. in pink and blue:-)). I nearly burst into tears!

The next day I was so pleased when 4 (2 small and 2 x larger size) scan photos came through my letter box. The sonographer was able to salvage something after all thank goodness.

    Morning all,
    Nothing much to report here.

Big congratulations to feelie though. Toby is scrumptious!

Had a very uneventful birthday yesterday. But i'm 28 and 31 weeks pregnant so it is the best birthday ever!

Had a midwife appointment in the morning and it was a really rubbish new one. She randomly started squeezing my legs when I was lieing down so she could hear the heartbeat (which she had trouble finding too). She thinks beanie is head down but i'm not going to take her word for it. She then forgot to give me another wee wee bottle to take away with me. She said my latest blood test results were fine too but I looked last night and it says on the top of the results ' these results are abnormal'. Its showing a high white blood cell count and Neurophils. Not sure if its anything to worry about but I dont think she even noticed it. I will call my normal midwife next week just to check. After her squeezing my legs I pretty much ran out of there anyway so I dont know if she had anything else to say to me!!!

Perhaps she mistook my legs for my tummy as they are like tree trunks now!!

Going to the cinema tonight and for a meal with my 3 girly cousins, so we can spend all night talking about beanie - my favourite topic of conversation.

Have a lovely day everyone xx

    Thank you!
Spent an hour so far trying to catch up with this thread & not getting very far. Still feel a bit detached from it all cos only found out on Thursday, haven't seen doc yet so don't have a EDD other than the one i've estimated myself (which is around 25th Dec!!) & we're still in shock that OH's sperm are obviously not as lazy as he is!
