I have 2 half packed bags at mo - 1 for me and 1 for baby, but i'm considering transferring both into a suitcase - do u think it'll look too weird arriving at the hosp with a suitcase or is it the norm?? And cos I know i'll be in for 48hrs i dont know how much of everything to pack
Have you sorted a "going home outfit" yet? if so is it maternity sized??
I just posted my list of stuff, probably overkill haha but I dont want Tom having to go home to get more. No not strange about suitcase, Im taking one :rotfl:
Have sorted a going home outfit, Its normal size. To be honest I didnt have to go into maternity clothes til I was gone 7 months and at the weekend when we were out for a meal I got asked when she was due and so many people were shocked when I said Thursday apparently Im v small bumped, I can put the linen trousers Im wearing home on now, just uncomfortable under bump.
Not sure about the 48 hour stay with regard of how much to take probably about the same as me??

Like no sickness, no tiredness, nothing...?
Everyone keeps saying im lucky for not having any symptoms, but i want morning sickness lol.
xx
The only thing I really had was some nausea and overwhelming tiredness. I felt exhausted all the time and would go to bed when I got home from work, get up to cook and eat and go back again! I also slept most weekends, but never had any actual sickness, just slight nausea every so often.
At the time I was desperate for some proper symptoms but looking back I'm actually glad I didn;t have any!
Shell - thanks for that, I thought it happened to everyone, probably I can see/tell cos I don;t have much fat on my tummy (unlike my thighs!), and I only Googled once I'd noticed and then it scared me!Just going to be careful with tummy till my MW appointment, and will mention it to yoga teacher tonight to be safe.
This is the first real pregnancy 'problems'/symptoms I've had (along with painful coccyx) so I guess i should be grateful! 14 weeks to go :T:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

We did end up going on holiday and I got back this morning. Apologies but as there have been thousands of posts here since I went am not going to try to catch up, but will see if I can find the list to see if anyone popped while I was away! Am feeling absolutely shattered though. OH got straight off the plane and onto another one and made it to Scotland in time for his granny's funeral.
We had a nightmare journey home though. Our coach from the hotel was due to pick us up at 7.20pm UK time to take us to the airport for a 00.05 flight. We decided to go out for a meal beforehand to a restaurant everyone had enjoyed earlier in the week. I was feeling quite nauseous though, so when the food arrived I couldn't face any of it, so just had a diet coke. The flight was 5 hours long, and about 3 hours into it my OH started to be sick, closely followed by DD and by DS. They must have got food poisoning from the meal earlier that evening. Ironically, I who was the one who started the evening feeling very green was the only one who didn't actually throw up, though it helped I wasn't actually sitting beside any of them!
We arrived at Stansted at 5.00 am. By this point, OH was feeling well enough to catch his connecting flight. We decided I should take the kids back to central London by train, with all the luggage, as they would probably be more comfortable on a train with a loo on board if they were still feeling poorly than in the car. With all the faffing around, getting luggage off and getting OH on his flight, we didn't end up getting on the train until after 7, so didn't get into Liverpool St station until 8, prime commuter time. By this point DD, who has special needs and is 8 had stopped being sick but had wet herself on the way to the train loo, DS who is 9 was still vomiting violently, and ended up on his hands and knees on the platform at Liverpool Street amongst all the commuters throwing up and looking wretched. DD chose that moment to lie on the ground and start to cry. I had had no sleep all night, was trying to steer a trolley with 4 suitcases, and comfort the kids and get to the taxi rank against the flow of the commuters all at the same time, whilst looking hugely pregnant. A lovely community police officer came running over to help us, and took the luggage off my hands and helped with DS. I then picked DD up to carry her to the taxi, and immediately had 2 massive BHs, which scared the living daylights out of the CPO who thought I was going to give birth there and then! He took us over to a taxi rank, put us all in the cab, got our luggage in, took the trolley back to the stand for us and brought back the deposit, and told the cabbie that he was to get me right to my front door and take all my luggage in for me. Fortunately the kids didn't throw up in the taxi (though it was touch and go!) and the cabbie did exactly as he was told. Got kids in bed for a few hours, and got some sleep myself, and we are all feeling a bit more human.
Thank goodness for the lovely CPO though. I honestly think I would have burst into tears, or thrown up myself if he hadn't come to my rescue, and I bet my BP was sky high! Now I need another holiday to recover from the stress of getting back from this one!
Hope everyone is well, and looking forward to hearing all your news again.0 -
Evans - have the agreed to the early shift then?
Aw Nicki - sounds like you needs a rest. How long is OH in Scotland for? Sounds like the CPO was your knight in shining armour0 -

I am 32 weeks today, and for the first 30 weeks I had nothing, no sickness, no tiredness, no heartburn etc, everyone said I was lucky too. Still not had sickness or anything but in the last 2 weeks I have become very short of breath and tired, and excrutiating SPD which I am awaiting physio for. Aggravated by an already out of line pelvis booooooooo.
My boobs stills haven't grown at all, so for the first 30 weeks I breezed through pregnancy with no symptoms just a growing bump to show for it, and am paying for it now!0 -

Hi, can i ask what type of Bras you are all wearing. I am 17 weeks and got re-measured at LaSenza on Saturday. But bought normal underwired bras. I was a 32D before pregnancy. Was measured at 34F. But have to say I am feeling abit uncomfortable later on in the day with the underwired bras. But can't get my head round the no wired ones. Do they give you any support? My boobs have gone huge and i need scaffolding to keep them up.0

Watched the hospital programme in the end, Aimee played on the laptop and took no notice of the TV... That girl that insisted on being knocked out for the CS is like a young version of the thing that lives next door to me...
Nicki, welcome back... Put your feet up and don't worry about unpacking until at least Saturday! Well done on that CPO, sometimes just when you're losing faith in all around you, someone steps up and restores you!
workinmummy, you're still ok to wear underwired as long as they fit correctly, if they're feeling uncomfortable at all then I would get the fitting checked... I'm still in underwires, 5 weeks to go... Really not looking forward to another 3 years in nursing bras!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
