well my backs had enough and im annoyed sorted out the stairs on the carpet and ended up being 4 stairs short :mad: so OH is going to pick up the bit we need tomorrow when i meet zoe from the train station managed to clear out the cupboard under the stairs for the buggy to come out from the cupboard upstairs also pulled out the sterilliser and a few other bits and bobs my bag is pack just incase all i need is nappies im getting there i havent done as much as i wanted to do but not bad this week if i do say so myself i got 4 weeks til ML so im gonna get as much done as my back will allow bubs had the hiccups early ... love it x

When do you finish exactly, I'm in for my last day of work on the 15th May and am seriously on the countdown already :rotfl:

Yeah having a boy - so you'll prob pop first as boys are normally late apparently. I have 2 half packed bags at mo - 1 for me and 1 for baby, but i'm considering transferring both into a suitcase - do u think it'll look too weird arriving at the hosp with a suitcase or is it the norm?? And cos I know i'll be in for 48hrs i dont know how much of everything to pack
Have you sorted a "going home outfit" yet? if so is it maternity sized??

God help this thread when we are both off work for 4 weeks before bubs arrive !!!!!!!!!!!

ETA - just thinking - you are technically due 2 weeks before me as my DD is 25th June, but am going to be sectioned around the 17th (not been given an exact date yet) So are you going to beat me ???????

well hes due 12th but if hes like his sister he could be days late (zoe was 6 days late) so yes definately race is on ... i dont like losing either :rotfl: x

I do get tired just not alot, oh and i cry more lol! Me and OH were play fighting the other day and i started crying, he felt so bad he thought he had hurt me lol.

Going to spain We booked it in the january sales so got it cheap hehe.
We were going to go to the huge theme park but now we cant and im not paying £42 just to see a nice firework display within the theme park lol.

Not got my cow yet,hope its on its way!! Gosh,you sound like you are having it rough! Do you have your scan coming up? I hope you start feeling better in time for your wedding and honeymoon xx

I have gbs as well, have had it in my water for 3-4 weeks and its given me hip and back pain (to the extent that I was almost immobilised and thought that my hip was seized up)- I only discovered the other day that by taking paracetamol (i never normally take any pills for pain) that not only does the pain go but i can actually walk normally again - must have just been the pain making me hobble! Waiting for the latest set of urine results cos the last 2 courses of abs didnt clear up the uti - although think they have run out of preg safe ABs that will work...and had sooooo many problems with the hosp losing results/not testing in the first place cos of wrong containers etc. argh!

I dont think it matters too much about not getting the IV abs for 4 hrs during labour - if they dont catch you in time they give them directly to the baby, and I agree knowing you have GBS is better than not knowing either way. Not that its a big deal- my MW was saying you watch your baby like a hawk for the 1st couple of days anyway, which makes me wonder why they make you stay in hosp for 48hrs after the birth, but ho hum.

anyway, now the pain has gone and i can walk again i have more energy to do the nesting type things i've been putting off - just hope i've not left it too late!! also joined the ebay thread today to try to motivate myself to sell....just need to stop talking about it and actually do it...like finishing packing my hosp bag (oh the shame!!). Time for action.....must turn off the internet.....

The last thing you want is for them to give the baby the antibiotics. They take the baby away from you, mine for 3 days. The only place they could eventually get the drip in was his foot, took ages and lots of trying. They have to be kept in Special Care and the antibiotics do have side effects. Even after the antibiotics we were warned to keep a very close eye on him for the 1st month. I sat on a ward with other mums for all that time with no baby. Please, please try to get to the hospital in time for you to have them! X :sad:
