  • hi,

its my due date today (as well as sparkles) but no signs as yet. I did ask my hubby to try to induce me this morning iykwim ;) but he's not been interested in having sex with me for months :( and we only got married in Nov (I can count the no of times we've done it since we got wed on my hands) Wouldnt be so bad if my pregnancy hormones hadnt made me so horny!

I have gbs as well, have had it in my water for 3-4 weeks and its given me hip and back pain (to the extent that I was almost immobilised and thought that my hip was seized up)- I only discovered the other day that by taking paracetamol (i never normally take any pills for pain) that not only does the pain go but i can actually walk normally again - must have just been the pain making me hobble! Waiting for the latest set of urine results cos the last 2 courses of abs didnt clear up the uti - although think they have run out of preg safe ABs that will work...and had sooooo many problems with the hosp losing results/not testing in the first place cos of wrong containers etc. argh!

I dont think it matters too much about not getting the IV abs for 4 hrs during labour - if they dont catch you in time they give them directly to the baby, and I agree knowing you have GBS is better than not knowing either way. Not that its a big deal- my MW was saying you watch your baby like a hawk for the 1st couple of days anyway, which makes me wonder why they make you stay in hosp for 48hrs after the birth, but ho hum.

anyway, now the pain has gone and i can walk again i have more energy to do the nesting type things i've been putting off - just hope i've not left it too late!! also joined the ebay thread today to try to motivate myself to sell....just need to stop talking about it and actually do it...like finishing packing my hosp bag (oh the shame!!). Time for action.....must turn off the internet.....

I had no morning sickness at all. I was sick once one night but I think that was down to me having a rotten cold and not being able to take medicine etc for it.

I know that alot of people feel the opposite but I am very stubborn and this is one thing I am digging my heels in as long as baby is healthy etc. If they say that I need a C section for babys health then thats what I will do, although will request to be knocked out for the whole thing. The idea of being awake whilst they do what they do......too much!

I was like that till I looked into it. It's much safer to be awake during it and your recovery time is reduced. So, although I too will be terrified of being awake, I will do it for baby. Like getting a tooth pulled, grin and bear it.... *is really, really scared*

EA - I had no morning sickness as such, just nausea from weeks 9-12. I was sick once, but that was because I didn't eat any breakfast and went on a long car journey more than anything else! I still don't have much in the way of symptoms and only just getting a noticable bump and I am 29 weeks (although I was on the large size to begin with!).

why would you want morning sickness??

I didnt feel anything at first. I was tired in the first week or two but didnt know i was pregnant then. I went off food in the evenings for a bit (8-12 weeks) and went off chicken and mushrooms but was never sick - and quite glad i wasnt!!

Have noticed people complaining of tiredness at different stages of pregnancy - I only felt tired in the 3rd trimester onwards really.

    Hi all,

I thought the dark line down bumps middle was because of muscles seperating?? well if its not mine looks like it!! just like a long thin bruise.

Got 2 more days in work but god its even harder work now im know im leaving...as if people expect me to be lazy but on the otherhand keep asking me things!!!!! I wanna be left alone BUT seen to be dedicated and busy still, haha.......am i asking too much??

Linea Nigra its called ~ I've not had it in 3 pregnancies even though it is meant to be something to do with abdominal muscles, not every woman gets it though.

Those of you that watched the hospital programme the other night, if I can find it on catch up... Is it appropriate to watch with Aimee floating around? She's playing in her room at the minute but pops in and out depending on her mood...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    Oh no you don't!! :rotfl:

Think mine started at about 8 weeks and ended at about 15 weeks (ish).

It's not nice at all. Worse still is nausea 24/7. I'd rather throw up than feel nauseous all the time.
