Thanks for the hugs Glam, GBS is Group B Strep, its an infection that apparently lots of people have and dont know about but it can be passed to baby in birth and can be a problem for them - small chance of fatalities if not detected - its not as bad as this sounds.

I had a Urine sample sent off after 3rd Uti and then just got results in post with small leaflet saying GBS ALERT administer IV antibiotics.

Have done some homework and would seem the GBS charity wants everyone to be checked so I consider myself lucky for knowing (not lucky for having, of course!!) Anyway seems the done thing is to be in hosp early to go on 1 or more 4 hour antibiotic sessions during labour and def as soon as waters break BUT mw's keep telling me dif things???!!!

    evening everyone.

welcome newbies.. 15 dec already for a edd!! :j

thanks for all your comments btw regarding finding out if a boy or girl :T. after a lot of thinking in work i decided to go along with hubby, we would find out and not tell anyone. afterall you can say she/he but no-one need know for definite. so came in from work and told hubby. and he said 'well we'll see on the day'. i think cos i said we wouldnt be able to show anyone the scan picture threw him as he loves showing that!! so at the mo we are back to not finding out and i am not mentioning it again till we get nearer the time (4 weeks) :D
i do appreciate everyones comments. i think at times he feels a bit left out cos i can feel flutters but he cant feel anything yet. i think once he can feel the kicks and movements he will feel a lot more involved. he does talk to my stomach a lot though which makes me love him even more. :D

Not me, as far as I am aware, I do not have GBS. (if you have a swab for thrush, this usually picks it up btw). Is there not a charity who gives you stickers to slap on your notes?

Tomorrow I need to tidy the kids room, it is disgraceful!

Still no washing machine!!!!!:mad::mad: Need to do some stuff in the bath again, whcih means I'm going to hurt like hell.

Evening everyone...MrsMoc...hope you and your DD are both feeling a bit better soon. It must be so frustrating being stuck in there but knowing its best for you and baby...especially with your DD not being well.

Hospital was a bit of a waste of time today. Had a growth scan and im 28 weeks and bump is already 3lb!! I thought that was big. Ive only put on 8lb in total so far.

I went to see the consultand and was a waste of time. Im still breach too and normally plenty of time to turn but DS was born at 34 weeks and DD at 32 weeks so i wanted to know what would happen.

Also and im sure Sami and someone else has been having problems but i feel as tho my insides are falling out of my foof...sorry TMI but if im on my feet for even half an hour everything swells up and i feel a pressure building up....I asked them to have a look and they wouldnt...they said it was her feet pushing down but im not so sure!!!
