I can't stop looking at my scan pics, Ive convinced myself I can see a winky but surely 12 weeks is abit too early for there to be one there already?!
Im going to make spaghetti on toast for my tea then I'll put pic up for you to look at.

I was convinced there was a white dot og a willy on my scan pic, as was everyone else. But no, she's definately a girl.

And Jillie - we found out she was a she, but kept it our secret. It wasn't too hard, although I did call her she now and again, but I just remembered to follow it up and call her 'he' in my next conversation with that person. :D

As someone said before, it was nice that we had our little secret, when pregnancy makes you public property in some peoples eyes. Also, when anyone asked about names, the boys name was always going to be dads name anyway, so I always gave that, followed by our choice of girls (which changed hourly!!)

Also, the dot on the scan had everyone else convinced he was a she - so that helped. :p

    Hugs to everyone.

Well Done AM - he's beautiful! What does big brother think of him?

Extra Hugs to Mrs Moc - I can't imagine how hard it must be being stuck in hospital - but thank god for hospital internet!!

Come to think of it - I found it so weird referring to Roo as an "it" before we knew I called her "he" - when people looked surprised I just explained that I couldn't deal with referring to my baby as an object and as we didn't yet know I just decided to call it "he" :) Everyone accepted that quite happily... And then ofcourse it turned out that she was a she and not a he :rotfl:

cheapskate your lucky zoe was nearly 17hrs :( x
Oh poor you! I have a very low pain threshold, maybe the man upstairs realised that, but still think things will catch up with me this time. I can't be that lucky again, can I? Friend went 60 hours with her little lad, & might have been longer if they hadn't used forceps! Trouble is, I then had problems with my older 2 kids when they were teenagers, so it did balance out! Now would rather have had long labour & angelic teens! :rotfl:

We called our youngest 'Fred' all the way through, even before we knew he was a boy, for the same reason as you - felt awful saying 'it'. Didn't have such good scans with other kids, but still called them some sort of nickname until they arrived.

We call this baby he... Hubby's convinced it's a boy... I'll wet if it turns out to be a girl!!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

  • We always called ours 'baby'! We bought baby this...Baby wants chocolate...baby is kicking like hell! :D. It was a safe bet for us as half our family knew the sex and the other half wanted the surprise.

Jamie's labour was recorded as 2 hours (waters breaking and contractions starting to delivery). However, I was induced and had 2 lots of gel within 12 hours before any contractions.

    xx
