Come to think of it - I found it so weird referring to Roo as an "it" before we knew I called her "he" - when people looked surprised I just explained that I couldn't deal with referring to my baby as an object and as we didn't yet know I just decided to call it "he" :) Everyone accepted that quite happily... And then ofcourse it turned out that she was a she and not a he :rotfl:
We called our youngest 'Fred' all the way through, even before we knew he was a boy, for the same reason as you - felt awful saying 'it'. Didn't have such good scans with other kids, but still called them some sort of nickname until they arrived.

We call this baby he... Hubby's convinced it's a boy... I'll wet if it turns out to be a girl!!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

  • We always called ours 'baby'! We bought baby this...Baby wants chocolate...baby is kicking like hell! :D. It was a safe bet for us as half our family knew the sex and the other half wanted the surprise.

Jamie's labour was recorded as 2 hours (waters breaking and contractions starting to delivery). However, I was induced and had 2 lots of gel within 12 hours before any contractions.

    xx

    Hi girlies,

I've had a horrid night and day ~ 2 hours sleep I had last night!

Woke up just after 1 to hear what sounded like gun shots. !!!!!! myself and woke Steve up. It was the bloody boiler, pishing out water everywhere and making a noise like gunfire! We turned everything off and it was still pouring water and making a racket so at 4am, Steve had to just shut the water supply off at the mains to stop the noise.

We had a new carpet put in the hall stairs and landing just less than a fortnight ago ~ it was bloody sodden :(

Bloke came this morning and fixed it, but my God we have all walked round today with bloodshot eyes and have been snapping at each other lol

I had a midwife appointment at 10.30am ~ could I find my notes, could I shoite! Couldn't find a sample bottle either, looked everywhere for my notes but had no joy so had to go without them. Apparantly I'm due to give blood but midwife couldn't do it cos she needs the info in my notes to go with the vials, so I've got to go back and give it in a fortnight when I'll be 38+5 ~ I might have had the baby by then!

After being in so much pain walking the 10 mins to the Docs and back, I went to lie on the bed, then got a dead leg. Siân came running in at one point thinking I was in labour because I was moaning so much ~ I was only trying to turn over on the bed :rotfl::rotfl:

Oh, then Steve comes home and hands me my notes ~ which were next to the PC. (They weren't there when I looked 3 times this morning :o:rolleyes:)

My back is killing, my belly feels as if it's about to burst, I can't get comfy sitting, standing or lying ~ I just want it to be over now :(
