Internet connection help

USB - I hate USB, you never know whats going on with power consumption etc....

Modems do take the max 500mA that a USB hub can offer. Do you have anything else USB plugged into the same group of USB's?

yes i have laptop so if im connected im active, it is not left on whilst i not using

Intel -- Helen has a usb modem so swapping cables won't work she needs new kit ... and as her lappy has wired ethernet that is the way to go - but I can't see wanddo offering ethernet kit just a silly usb to ethernet conversion so trying to cancel connection and get wandodo to offer a ethernet adsl routeras a pls stay sweetener :rolleyes: may not work ...... cos they don't do it - but they may be a 0800 number for the wanadodo cancellation line :money:
