well done so far! :D I'm sure next month you'll make it under that £20k barrier!
And it's ok to have a hollibob! All debt repayment and no holidays makes andy a stressed out boy. :D

Yes, defenitely think there needs to be a life/debt busting balance. I think I could throw about £80 more to debts a month, but that would mean no life at all...:( Don't think I could hack that.

I've had a couple of months being more 'relaxed' but I need to tighten up again. It would be great if next month I managed to have a little left over to throw a little extra at debt on top of budgeted overpayments. Maybe I should get a 'debt busting' sealed pot and even if it's only the odd couple of quid at the end of the month then it's something...

Unfortunately my budget is really tight and basically every penny has a destination. I still have some slack, but not after I start paying more towards my loan in September.

Exciting to see the thread on the newsletter!

Hi to old timers and welcome to newbies!

LA- well done. You're doing well and if you're saving for the holiday. If its planned for I count it as MSE!

As predicted my ticker has gone slightly backwards due to the costs of getting ready to market house. I'm hoping to turn that round in the next couple of days by raking some money back!

With no funtimes we would get discouraged and fall back into bad habits, so Laura is bang on the money here!

Nah, don't do that! I think it all depends on your priorities as well - if we paid every spare penny to debts think of the extra guilt for the occasional coffee or treat. I know that people have to decide what is important, but I am now down to one (canteen subsidised) Starbucks or so every week, and wouldn't want to give it up. Yes, it's £5-8 per month that I could save, but I need to feel as though I'm not in constant battles with my debts.

Well done to everyone for all your hard work, we're all doing really well :j

Only joking- that is a bit of a pickle.

I don't have any good ideas I'm afraid. Maybe someone more intelligent than me will be along shortly with better advice

    Good Luck

Sometimes we try really hard and life gets in the way. Don't let it get you down. Enjoy a lovely birthday and aim for a different DFD.
