Evening all!
I have paid £69 to Barclaycard today - £4 as part of my PAD and £65 because that is how much under budget I am on my Grocery Challenge :j :j I get paid in two days, and know that I don't have to buy any more food until then so have transferred the money over - making my Barclaycard balance £170I think that should be clear in about 3 weeks (At most) meaning that I will no longer have an overdraft or a credit card, only a loan (Boo!)
All money will be ploughed into savings once the credit card is cleared and I will use this to either pay off the loan (Hopefully next year) or to live on if the worst happens and I get made redundant. I work in financial services, so that could be a real possibility in the next 12 months... At least I know that I can budget like a mo-fo if it happens :rotfl:
I'm off to do some maths now and then update my own thread. I like to do that before payday to see how far I have come in the month!0 -

Evening all
Spent longer sorting my avon out than I expected so no more decluttering for me tonight. I will start in the morning.
Did my mystery shop, got an £8 fee and a freebie that I can sell on Ebay. I'm going to have a mad listing day on Thursday for 10 days. Everything starting at 99p so it's free and will just see what I get for it all. Will have to make sure I have throughly decluttered before then.
See you all tomorrow

Evening all!
I know its only 5pm but just wanted to say hi to the DFB'S:cool:
Hope you are all fine and dandy! sorry about the job! Silaqui but as you say at least you've still got a job and I think that's a good point ( your taking it very well!!)
I've been decluttering like mad Emily and discovered an unpaid back refund from aol (if you get my drift) so I've contacted them and £59.97 will be coming off the Scabbyfax balance over the next few days - nice result!!! and every little penny does really countas we all know.
I really have got my fingers crossed for you flying_fresian that you don't get made the "R" word- after working in the financial services myself I know how :eek:they can be- bit impressed with how organised you are though:T
Will catch up tomorrow for another fun day :rotfl:be good all of you (yeh right!!!!)May you fill up the great clutterbucket of life and may all of your leaks be in cheese sauce
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without:cool:0 -
Me again (sorry!):o
As tomorrow will be payday(23rd) I'll have to reassess everything as I want to work to31st of month-(his payday) instead of using my money to tied us over for a week - I figure we could save some extra that way by stretching for another 7 days
I think that should work or maybe not?
Anyway DFB's:cool: I shall have a look at the old paperwork and imbibe the info!
May you fill up the great clutterbucket of life and may all of your leaks be in cheese sauce

Hey all
Have paid £62 off my debt so far, since joining this thread and the PAD thread, so am mighty pleased with that as i'm sure it would have been spent on....... not much. This is on top of regular DD's, not exactly gonna cause the biggest dent, but at least i havent lined mr tescos pocket.
anyways payday's not til next thurs  so dont think debts will be reducing particularly quickly in the next week. not a problem as long as i dont spend anything either!!
Hope everyone's well.

Thanks people, I think the reason I'm not so bothered is that I wasn't really expecting to get the job anyway, it was quite a big jump for someone with only 3 years experience. It keeps my name on the radar though lol!
I am really chuffed with myself this month, I still have £3 in my purse, 45 in my HSBC account and my A&L account is only in the overdraft by £40 (because I made some pad's and forgot about the last direct debits that go out! whoops...). By this time of the month I'm usually up to the limit!
I have just had the letter through though telling me the fees for my masters are due now, thats £155 to go out at the start of May. Knew I'd forgot to budget for something! It just shows how far I've come though, had this been a couple of months ago I'd have been panicking about where I could get the money from. I've just slotted it into my spreadsheet and I can manage it easily without even dipping into the overdraft, it'll just mean a few less in pads.
8 DAYS TILL PAYDAY!!!
