Congrats F_F for paying off your Barclaycard and Happy Birthday Emily!

I have exciting news as well, spoken with OH yesterday and he seems to start getting excited by the idea of being DF (and never have any debt again!) so we decided to pay his Barclaycard off with the holiday savings I had - this was our debt with the highest APR (will save us loads in interest and we will start putting money aside again for hols). So - our updated total in debts is now at £17,786 - that's £1,758 paid off (includes my parent's loan)!!!! :j:j:j

Thank you all for the birthday wishes :A.

I've done quite well today. Got £60, a new handbag (very much needed!!), a cardigan, pair of jeans, top and some other bits and pieces.

I'm going to spend my money wisely but the bag was on my list of things to get so that can be crossed off straight away.

It is hard though thinking that I can pay that £60 off my Barclaycard and actually get it below £300 but I will spend it on myself.

Just think, 2 years today I will be debt free ;) :j.

    Hi,

My student loans came through today so I have been able to pay off a pretty large chunk of my debt! :j

But it makes me feel like a bit of a loser that all I had to do was wait for my sudent loans to come through when you lot all work so hard to pay yours off. :embarasse

But I'm still pleased that I only have a pretty small bit left to pay!

So congratulations to everyone who has paid off some of their debt! :T

Happy Birthday for yesterday Emily- less than 2 years to being DF now!
I'm with you on the birthday money. I got money for my birthday this month and it was great to be able to treat myself to some of the things I could really do with getting but couldn't justify without the birthday money!!
