My first payment as part of this group!

Well I've had an awful day but due to receiving some money I was owed I've been able to pay off £100 I owe to my Dad which is good :)

I did spend £20 in Tesco though which is annoying, I kept to my list and everything! :p

    Morning all

Just made my first PAD to Barclaycard. The balance was £359.25 so I have paid off £4.25 to bring it down to £355. My usual monthly payment is £8.47. If I can get this cleared ASAP then even paying an extra £8 a month on my DMP clears another month off it and that's including the Barclaycard which wouldn't be there anymore. The best bit is that they have stopped any charges or interest so it should go down pretty quickly.

Just waiting in for my avon order before I go to work. I've got a mystery shop this evening and will then finish the big declutter (after sorting my avon orders out).

I've already chucked a load of old cosmetics/toiletries and have found a couple of pairs of jeans that no longer fit me so will be putting them on Ebay on Thursday.

Come on Mr Avon man, where are you? :p

    See you all later

    Morning DFBs

Made a big step yesterday as I paid my parents the £600 I owed them (long overdue!) so that is one debt less from my list and will really make a difference on my debt total. However, I will not update total until the end of the month when all DDs have gone out - the biggest one went out today to my loan (£250). Will update totals at the end of each month though due to interest being added and all that. But am well chuffed with the progress so far!

Hope everyone has a fabulous day, I have decided to enjoy tranquility while it lasts instead of waiting anxiously and wishing for baby to come NOW!

Hi Panambi i did post a congrats on the PaD thread but just in case you didn't see it, well done on clearing a debt!!! :j
Enjoying the peace before the baby arrives sounds like a good plan. I don't feel like i took advantage of that. It was only when the little one arrived that i began to regret it ;):p
One step at a time ;)
  • Hello everyone

It's an absolutly georgeous day here - far to nice to be at work

I made a payment today to Barclaycard of £5. Not alot but its nearly the end of the month.

Sold two books on GM so the balance there is now £12.50 as soon as it clears there i will bring it back & pay off BC.

No mystery shops about - they are really quiet here at the mo - hoping they will pick up soon.

    Have a great day

Hopeful1 - thanks! It feels great to clear a debt and I am hoping to get rid of a few small ones soon too - still got 11 to go :eek::eek: (including OH's)

Didn't think about enjoying peace and quiet before my other two were born so this time round I will (as they are both at school now, I have a good 6 hours peace per day now during maternity leave :D) Is hard sometimes though as there are always a million things I think that need doing
