The weather looks good today so I'm hoping to get all my machine-washed clothes dry the OS way.0 -
Work for me today too as my cells won't have the day off and need to be fed. Should be a shortish one though
I got back for Exeter about 8pm last night...after walking through town and...
finding the lakeland shop  I am not allowed in lakeland, but my broken-through-tiredness-will-to-resist shiny things was scuppered by the fact I couldn't carry anything, so I settled for the catalogue which I drooled over on the way home. I want a remoska - but I can't work out which size would be better for us. I'm leaning towards the large one.
The flat was - as I predicted - a total state when I got home. OH is tidying the morning.
I have to have a think about shopping later on as we've just lost our Somerfield store, which leaves us with a co-op (very expensive) and an Iceland (not open at the right times). Our food bill will increase a great deal if I'm not careful. We are supposed to be aquiring a waitrose where somerfield used to be.
I was going to make hot cross buns, but I popped into M&S and found some reduced to 50p last night, so they will do (it's only me that eats them anyway). Not doing Easter eggs.
I also have to think of something to do with the embroidered ribbon and brocade I bought back from holiday, so if anyone has any ideas about ribbon craft things, I would be very greatful (you could only buy it by the reel, hence the quantity). I also have about twelve metres of very lightweight printed silk to play with.
I bought a cardigan when I was away as it was cold in the accomodation they provided - that now has the crochet flowers I made sewn on it to make it a bit less dull. I need to finish off my blanket too as I now have all the squares I need.
Right, back to the grind for another hour, then I'm free:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
Good Friday a total washout here. Was going to go for a few long walks with my new JMl talking pedometer/radio which I found for £1 so will prob end up sitting in and reading.Chicken Run on tv later.
Got the flat to myself tho as fmate is out playing snooker with the lads. Will get all my ironing done. M&S plaice and YS broccoli from Mr t for dinner.(wish OUR M&S did reductions. Always amazes me how you folks can get YS bargains for pennies. Our Mr T does YS but most things are at least £1 or £2 and not that much less than full price.??)
Happy Easter all! What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
Have just made DH and DDs some soup for lunch and packed DH upstairs to bed with a hot lemon drink and a hot waterbottle as he has lost his voice and feels rough!!!!
Might do sweet potato burgers or soup for tonight unless inspiration strikes in the local supermarket.
Need to buy some more fruit and veg and then just slobbing around today as weather is a bit miserable.
DDs are watching a dvd so might get them dips for the posh crisps from Approved foods and treat them (not telling them the price!)
Also did not let on that the Lloyd Grossman tomato and basil soup sachets were 15p a sachet instead of about 70p!!
Hester
You deserve a medal for putting up with the outlaws!!!!!!
As far as I am concerned if someone is invited here to eat then the person who cooks decides the time they eat!!! Not in case of unavoidable delays, obviously!
Hugs to all and see you later"This site is addictive!"

happy Easter everyone:j
wet and rubbish weather here....typical bank holiday.
I am having a bit of a downer of a day, the lack of sleep is starting to get to me and I feel exhausted:rolleyes: Rant coming up...sorry:o
DS seems to want to just stay in all the holidays as it all gets a bit much for him but then it starts to drive you mad being trapped indoors with him constantly yapping about clocks and numbers;) I don`t know how much more I can deal with.
today am in the kind of mood when I just wish for once my life was the same as everyone elses without this stress and where I could just go out and enjoy a day out with DS like other parents do.....without worry about how busy/noisy it is, if he can eat the food, what colour the toilets are etc.
I am moaning about nothing really, he is a gorgeous boy and i love him to bits but autism is hard to deal with when you dont get any sleep.
We are having pasta and pesto and garlic bread for tea, DS having whatever he feels like.
We have to go to a family bday party later tonight, hopefully just to show our faces for an hour and get back as am not in mood.
Went swimming this morning with DS and to a park this afternoon but he wanted to come home straight away.
I have a huge pile of ironing to do this afternoon at some point too:eek:.
well off to have a browse on here before tackling the jobs.
Hope you all have a lovely easter

Afternoon peeps
Bit late today, its cold and dull here, was raining but has stopped now so I suppose thats one good thing.
I seem to have flitted from one thing to another so far today, washings done so is some of the ironing, all of Mum's anyway so she will be pleased, got the sewing machine out and re-inforced the seams in DIL's trousers, then just generally pottered about, tidied, and found homes for stuff.
Lunch was beef sarnies, don't know about Dinner yet as we are off to DS2/DIL's later to see DGS, he is almost walking, but then suddenly realises he is'nt holding on and plops down on the floor. He recognises us now and loves it when his Granddad gets down on the floor and plays cars with him
Better go get ready, enjoy the rest of the day everyone
Anne

Have just spent an hour and a half ironing and enjoyed it:eek:.
OH looked after DS and I ironed and listened to my MP3 full blast with earphones.......it was quite relaxing and blocked out the sound of numbers and clocks and odd numbers and even numbers( the latest obsession)
am just about to make tea then we are getting ready to go out......bit of an odd day for a bday party i feel....Good Friday is not really a celebratory day it is quite solemn but never mind.
DS at his dads tomorrow for the day from 10am so OH has promised to look after me......lots of choc and watching films from Lovefilm and making me egg chips and beans for my tea lol.
I know tonight will be a pain as DS will find it loud and busy etc....these things are not really enjoyable anymore but will show our faces.
For tomorrow OS will have to shove off I need a rest:rotfl:.
i do feel a bit more at peace with myself now.....thanks girls for the good wishes....I love my OS friends on here:A0
