Morning, I am sat here with coffee trying to wake up fully, I think I will be a bit groggy as I had a rough night sleep wise again
J is coming round later to see me and we are prob going to watch movies all night and cuddle on the sofa.. I am toying with the idea of doing the garden or tidying upstairs, I will get the washing on the line at least.
Any O/S tips to get rid of ants I am infested and it is not nice.
I am not sure if I am going to go to any Easter services but who knows I might change my mind
Have a good day

RuthBanana LoversBuy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning0 -
N9eav I think he looks daft too;), I think all those seasonal dress-ups look pretty daft, but hey- if he's OK with it who cares?
Good Friday here means a complete lack of religious observance. I'm a heathen who likes the sense of rhythm and history the Church gives us -and the excuse for a holiday:D
So, I'll be making the hot cross buns a bit later and having fish for tea -smoked haddock kedgeree.
Simple barley and bean broth for lunch made with some soup mix, some hashed up veg from the freezer, frozen stock and some potato.
The weather looks good today so I'm hoping to get all my machine-washed clothes dry the OS way. Sorry Tru but I think washing machines are the greatest invention ever and have probably done more to free women from household drudgery than any other invention. Granny may not have had one, but I bet she wished she had:);) I have never used or owned a tumble dryer though (or a dishwasher).
Katie chili powder round your skirtings (if that's where they're getting in) is supposed to deter ants.0 -

Morning all..............(((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) if you need one.
Since we moved we seem to be waking earlier and getting up, I always said it was too hot in the damn place, so an early start. We have been to Tesco and got the bits I wanted, including something I did not plan on buying a large box of Thorntons choccy's for £5.99 usually £12.00!!! so thats our easter egg!!!
OH is going to tackle cleaning the front door, I am going to put a batch of scones in, spag bol sauce cooked ready for DS2 when he arrives. Then it will be down to work........
Its still quite windy here and it keeps clouding over. I bought a [acket of that stuff to clean oven shelves with, they have been in 24hours and do not look any different,.....will prise them out of the bag shortly and see. I could have done with getting more brillo pads whilst I was out.
Managed to go without the key to the meter cupboard when we went to the flat, so could not read the meter, will nip over later and do it......then I can post in the keys and thats all finished.......
Right offsy to get on..........Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Morning everyone hope you are well?
Late on here this morning as I've been catching up with some housework, making soup for lunches over the weekend & generally pottering aroundDD & I are making a cheese & onion flan/tray bake affair with puff pastry this afternoon for dinner tonight. Chips/wedges & beans or peas are seeming to be the popular option to accompany it. Spicy lentil soup made for lunch today/tomorrow and Wm done its bit. My friend is coming round later for a general natter & coffee & the children are all doing their own thing so it should be a fairly peaceful chat :rotfl:
((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) for all who need one at the moment & a happy & peaceful easter weekend to everyone.

Morning peeps
(although it probably won`t be by the time i`ve finished typing):D
I`m cream crackered nowi woke on the sofa after collapsing in front of the telly last night - no idea what was actually on but i was halfway through a cup of tea lol, i`m always like that after a long run of early shifts. I was in the shower at 4 out with the houndies for 5 and in Asda with Dad for 6, at the shopping centre for 9 and around the market then out with the houndies again. I`ve finally sat down and had some breakfast. Toast with hm soft cheese YUM! so i feel a bit better just really tired. I bought far more than i intended but there were so many bargains to be had, my poor freezer will be groaning later when i try to force even more food into it
I`m having to take the houndies on short walks more often as little oldie is walking with a limp, he loves going out and goes barmy when i pick their leads up but he can`t get very far bless him, i think he may have twisted his leg but he dosen`t seem to be in any pain - just awkward for him.
I`m going to try and have an hours nap and then i need to spring into life and change the bedding and scrub upstairs, the kitchen could do with a clean and tidy as lots of things have appeared on top of the fridge and freezer that should be elsewhere, once this is done i can set about cooking and baking for the afternoon.
I`ve no idea whats for tea today, we can choose from chicken, beef or ham as i bought all 3 today. What dosent get used will go in the freezer. DH is out of the way and has gone fishing. He will be at w*rk tomorrow so i should get lots done. It`s alternating between sunny spells and showers here but i put the washing on the line anyway as it`s mostly w*rk clothes and the sun has been winning up to now with just 2 short light showers. It seems that the neighbours have their fingers crossed weatherwise too as i see lots of washing across the gardens.
Off for a quick browse then a nap - i hope.
Stefejb - Enjoy your trip home
Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon all
The plans have changed for the BBQ yet again, MIL & partner want to eat at 12 or 1, BIL wants to eat at 2 or 3 & knowing BIL he won't arrive til 4, or he's be so !!!!!! he won't arrive at all. Hubby & I would prefer to eat at 1, so we are now doing that & will cook again for BIL & his tribe if they turn up. Hubby suggested inviting my kids, but TBH, why should they have to put up with his dysfunctional mob. Oh the joy of families.
Breakfast - egg on toast
Lunch - Cheese toasties
Tea - Fish Pie
Shopping.s done, the lodger's been walked, kitchen needs a S & S & then that's me sorted for today, DD gave me a box of books, so I'll settle down for a read later.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Hugs Hester
