sugar soap, you can buy it ready mixed now in a spray bottle0

nicky to paint is an option - but for someone else!
Just realised soda crystals are not the same as Stardrops which is a liquidwill get on with my crystals but keep my eye out for the real thing!
Oh I also didn't know sugarsoap was available in a bottle? Will look out for that too.The smallest deed is greater than the grandest intention ~ Anonymous0 -
You wash walls with sugarsoap before you paint them to ensure they are clean and grease free. Otherwise the paint won't adhere properly meaning it won't last as well and may well pull away from the wall if you use blutack.0

Try Savers, Wilkinsons etc for Stardrops, Tesco don't sell it I know.
Use your soda crystals for tipping down the sinks every so often following by boiling water to keep the pipes clean and also use with your washing power, in fact loads of things0 -
Help!! My sister clagged her greasy mit on my beautifully painted pistachio stair wall. How do I get rid of the greasy mark? dont want to just paint over it 'cos it'll probably come through. Any ideas? Thankyou!!RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. I know i'll see you again my best friend forever.

find a piece of the wall thats not obvious and try diluted stardrops ...if it doesn't mark the wall, then it will probably remove the mark without marking the wall. take it slowly thoughWe don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0

If you haven't been able to get it out. Paint over it with a PVA sealer (or slightly watered down PVA glue), I'd put two coats and then paint over. The PVA will stop the grease coming through. Works for any stains including blue tack.1 John 4: 7 & 80

I wash down all my eggshell emulsion walls (muddy dogs and even muddier kids;) ) with a bucket of warm water with a squirt of Stardrops and the good old micro fibre cloth. The eggshell will hold up to quite a bit of hard rubbing, but I don't know about the matt emulsion. Instinct says it may not be quite a hardwearing.
