lucylocket wrote:Hi Tesco employee, dont know if this has been threaded before, can I use money off coupons vouchers with my shopping if I have not bought the actual item?
Right i'll try to explain it as straightforward as possible!!
TESCO VOUCHERS -
If you have a Tesco money off voucher then you HAVE to buy the product to recieve the discount (Although some CO Operators may be nice and allow you to use them anyway)
OTHER VOUCHERS -
If you have money off coupons for lets say Pampers you CAN use them without buying the item but you can only use 1 coupon (ie: if you had 5 pampers vouchers and didn't buy the product only 1 would be accepted)
This is the company line on vouchers but obviously some Cashiers will make mistakes and either accept them all or refuse them totally:o
Hope that helps in some way!:oStand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -

Thanks
do you know how to find where these centres are?

As far as im aware there is no limit as long as the accounts are in different names and the person is over 18 - Im sure they may get a bit suspicious if you hold 20 cards all registered to the same address though!;)Stand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -
russetred wrote:That sounds a great way to save for holidays.Has anyone used a lot of deal vouchers for an expensive holiday at all? We're saving all ours to use for a virgin holiday to thailand next year. Our target is to get around £1000 off the price, we've got £548 so far.
We went to New Zealand last year on Clubcard. Very easy to do.
Would advise you do lots of research though. Our NZ holiday was far more expensive in monetary terms using clubcard as you don't get any discounts when purchasing a holiday using clubcard vouchers.
ie for me: sourcing holiday using MSE methods =£2000 (in real money  )
buying exact same holiday from Tradewinds using clubcard vouchers for total spend=£3000 (£750 in cc vouchers needed...a whopping £75,000 spend in Tesco if using the traditional route to amass CC vouchers (but thanks to extra points products last year I amassed a pile of CC vouchers in a very short space of time:T))
So what I'm saying is that if our goal had been to save £1000 off our NZ trip by using clubcard vouchers, it would have been a waste of our CC vouchers as I could get the trip £1000 cheaper anyway without using clubcard at all.
So yes it can be done...quite happy to answer any questions you may have.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Cheers for the advice. i know what you mean about shopping around sometimes paying all cash can be cheaper in the long run.But we were going to choose Virgin anyway and like you have managed to amass an awful lot of points with very little actual spend! Perhaps you know the answer to this one.I "banked" a 1000 points voucher online to my account, it expires on 31/12 but if I've got it in my account would i be able to use it after this date? It will be for essentials only, ie wine!!"Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0

I know this is pathetic, but I've just ordered my MFI tokens and I'm so excited!!!! It's the first time I've ever ordered deals, I usually spend the vouchers in store.
It's only £320 total, but it's a start eh!? I know MFI are not going to be with Tesco for much longer, so I'm hoping to get a good deal in the sale!"I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0 -

Personally, I wouldn't chance it (100 points maybe;) ). I would place an order before/on 31/12 but for delivery 2/3 weeks later maybe (as money is taken from your account on day of delivery not on day of ordering). I've done this with grocery shops and it's been fine. Just make sure the code has been added on your confirmation email.0 -
I've looked through the most recent 5 pages but havnt seen this question asked - so apologies if it is repeated from page 45 or before!!
I have been given some Clubcard vouchers, but are not in my name or address. I understand that it might be difficult to exchange them for vouchers because of this, but I dont know if I can just redeem them at Tescos for goods (you know - the old way!!), and if they require production of the clubcard itself in order to redeem them.
Many thanks in advance.Praying at the church of MSE should be compulsory!
