Oops, many apologies. I didn't intend to get any credit for this post, just thought how useful it would be if posted on MSE and in my haste, omitted to credit the original op for this.

Please accept my apologies. No offence intended.

I opened a .com account in my sons name using his staff club card so that I would get his discount , When he left Tesco his card stopped working so I picked up a new card and registered it in my name ,when I tried to change the clubcard details on his account . it would not let me , saying it was already registered to another person .So I opened a new account in my name and we rang clubcard to transfer the points from his old card to my new one . Everything was fine , I have just checked my points balance then I logged into the old account expecting to see a nil balance on my sons clubcard ,but no, his is showing the exact same balance as mine . Even though I have added about 3,500 points since his card stopped working. Anyone have any idea whats going on.

I recently used an online code for 1500 points when you purchase £50 of wine. This went through ok and I got confirmation that it was used, but the points didn't show when I got the order. I phoned up customer service and was told it can take up to 28 days for the points to be added. This was 1st December and my points still aren't showing when I checked my account. I also had 500 points if I recommended a friend to clubcard deals, but these aren't showing either (even though person has had their deal). Not used any large extra points codes before, so no idea if this is normal or not, but the ones in store are usually added quite quickly.

The same happended to me when I used a point code once. I think it was hubbies code on my account. I called them and was passed around 5 people I told the lady that I had spoken to department "x" and "y" already. She very kindly offered to speak to them herself and then credited the points to my account. They were showing within 72 hours. So, I would phone again! Good luck, sure you will get your points in the end. ;)

Hi, I bought club card vouchers from my colleague and I ordered Restaurant deals vouchers online. Today we got a letter saying there is a problem with this. we called them, they said either I need to get my collegue to call them or they credit those points to my collugue's account. we haven't got same surname. I know some people buy from ebay, what deals do they order? could some one help me with this please. Thanks

People buying deals on ebay would get the seller to order the deals and then (once they arrive) post them to the buyer.

  • Not sure if this is the right place to ask but did the points on Tesco credit cards spent outside of tesco recently change from a point per £4 spend to a point per £2 spend? I could have sworn it was per £4 but I just saw a post on another forum quoting £2 and then looked on tesco's own site and it's £2. I'm beginning to think maybe it's always been that way and I just had it wrong in my head but if it did change I'd be interested to know when.

i bought vouchers on ebay and my order was cancelled because the vouchers weren't mine. they credited them back to the seller and when they arrived in his next statement he ordered something else for me and posted it on. the first order was for a tussauds pass, but as we'd already bought it by the time the vouchers were resent to the seller he bought blackpool pleasure beach vouchers for us. he got them sent to him though.

which restaurant vouchers were they? your colleague can probably order them herself and then pass them on to you. lots of deals don't have names on etc. it's just that when they first process the deal sometimes (not always) they seem to pick up that you are using vouchers that weren't issued to you.
