You can only use them instore because there just paper Tesco printed deals vouchers, not like an actual goldsmiths voucher.

  • Have £90 in vouchers (£360 deals) so far and hoping to spend it on a break to legoland. Has anyone booked a hotel before with vouchers and if so which do you think is the best one?? We would need a family room 2 adults 2 kiddies for 2 nights. Wold we have to pay much more on top of the deals?

Would like to try somewhere different to Butlins for a change, even thought the kids love it!!!

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi
I have been saving my clubcard points for a while now and have a couple of queries as have not transferred them over to deals before and I am wondering if someone could please help me:

We have £170.00 worth of vouchers, and want to know if we can use these for flights only on Virgin Atlantic, ( i have just called Tesco to check and they advised yes but looking on the terms and conditions on the website they advise no?)...really confused about this now....

Also i have been given some vouchers by family members and want to know that if i get them to change them to virgin vouchers do they have any names on them (ie their name and not mine) which i will then not be able to use...

sorry and 1 last thing, the flights we are looking at are £820.00 (to China) and the points are going to be worth £680.00 can we use them this way and pay the difference......

many thanks for your help where possible....

    Hi

I looked into this week and was told by two seperate TESCO clubcard people that I couldn't do flights only it had to be a package holiday with VIRGIN instead. Sorry don't know about vouchers for Virgin from friends and family. And regarding paying the difference yes I believe you can pay the difference.

    Hope that helps :D

Hi Thanks for this, i actually called Tesco back again and they advised that as you were advised that it does have to be on a holiday that actually includes at least 7 nights accommodation.....
Think will pass on booking it this way as only £820 for flights onlyfor 2 people but to add on 14 nights accom it is £2200:eek: , sorry i know some of the hotels are nice in China i don't think i want to pay £1400 more when i can stay with relatives for free.....will keep my vouchers for something else....

    Thanks again for your help..

    Hi,

I hope this doesn't seem too stupid or too lazy (I have read many of the pages but I'm still not sure I've got it!) but I'm thinking of using my vouchers for a holiday.

Do I pick up the relevant brochures from a travel agent, choose the holiday, order the holiday tokens and then ring the tour operator's number shown in the brochure / or go to the travel agent to book? Is it possible to book any of the holidays online?

    Thanks

Thanks for asking that Deedums .. I am in the same predicament  .. I am clueless where to begin .. I have approx £800 (After x4) to spend on a holiday for One Adult and One Child .. I would be well great to anyone thats 'done' the whole booking holiday via Tesco Clubcard Coupons to share their 'story' (if that makes sense) .. Thanks in advance ;):D
  • OK I will try to explain - This will be my first post so I apologise now if its not clear.

I have just booked a holiday with XL.com paying for the entire holiday (flight and hotel package) with my Tesco vouchers. Initially I looked at their (XL) website which you can access from the Tesco Clubcard Deals page. There is a special section for Tesco users and the prices are listed. I phoned to confirm that I had the right price for the package and that it was still available, which it was. I then sent my tesco vouchers off to tesco to be converted, once I had them (4 days later) I again rang XL and booked the holiday - you have to give them the serial numbers found on the tokens. They gave me a number to write on all my tokens and I put them in the post - Registered delivery. Couple of days later the confirmation arrived in the post - 7 days B & B in Malta in September with not cash outlay from me!

I also use Clubcard vouchers to book hotels in London for a couple of nights - Usually use Ramada Jarivs - again I always give them a ring to check on prices and availability (internet and special prices do not apply) before I send my vouchers to Tesco for convertion.

So I suppose to sum up - give the company a ring and check before converting your clubcard vouchers. You do have to pay slightly more then the advertised price especially with hotels but I still see it as a free holiday - we have to eat and clubcard points are the reward we get for shopping at Tesco.

    Hope that helps
