    Hi.
I used my Tesco vouchers to have my car MOTd. I just saved up the vouchers until I had enough before sending off. This works fine (but watch the use by dates).
Just a word of caution about Nationwide Autos though - I found they recommended I should have new discs and pads which I did but a friend said afterwards it is unlikely these would have been needed, given that the car is only three years old and not done that many miles. Although the MOT didn't cost the other work did...

We do this every year (for the past 4-5) with both our cars and we highly recommend them! I guess it'll depend on each garage, but we used to use the one in Worcester and have now used the one in Redditch since we've moved and they are both great.

Hope you have a good one local to you. :D

The garage is just round the corner from were I live which is why I was considering it and I'd thought I would save some money. What about the RAC membership?

I want to order some Irish Ferry Clubcard deals vouchers. I've got £12 and my OH has £3 - can I use his to add to mine to give us £60 off the ferry? Or can I only use mine?

Hiya, I don't think you can combine the 2 clubcards - Have a read of this ...

If you were booking a holiday with Virgin I know you can combine the 2 cards if the other person named is going.

He's not my husband but we do live together. I didn't look like I could when I got to the point where I put the codes in. Ah well. £40 instead of £60 off

As an aside... I changed some clubcard points to Haven pounds a couple of years ago, but then the plans changed so we wouldnt be using them in the 6 months. Tesco allowed me to change them back to clubcard points...and when I got them back there was a new 2 years time limit on:D Massively extended the time window for me to use them:)

I too use my vouchers for a free mot.
Nationwide will always find something to put on the 'advisory notice'... though i find this best ignored..... i mean if something was wrong then it would fail right? :o
Looking back at my 2 last mot's i see they put an advisory notice that the rear tyres were reaching the lower legal tread limit... this was put on 2 years running without the tyres being changed.

Thanks Zippy and Lilac - it makes me feel a lot better to know that its not just happening to me! I will wait for the second invoice letter and not panic when the first one turns up without my Tesco deals being taken off!

I've booked twice with Virgin using deals tokens, the first time the amended invoice took about two and a half weeks, the last time (January) it took four weeks.

If you have your booking reference you can check on the Manage My Booking section on Virgin Holidays website, I seem to remember that the credit for the tokens showed up quite quickly on there, it was just the paperwork that took a little while.

If you sent your tokens using recorded/registered delivery (whichever it is that has to be signed for) you can prove they've arrived so I wouldn't worry.

Hi everyone, sorry if this has already been asked, but would it be better to pay with a Clubcard Plus or Amex?

I have had the Amex for a while now, so am out of introductory offer rate.

    Thanks.

I've renewed my RAC membership for a few years using this method and have had no problems either with getting the tokens or renewing with the RAC
