  • Hi, sorry if this is answered elsewhere, I have done a few searches and can't find anything - it will take me ages to work through all 80 odd pages using dial-up!

Are the codes on the Eating out Deals Tokens specific to individual chains ?
ie, I have £50 leftover Cafe Rouge deals that I'd now prefer to use at La Tasca or HA HA, is this possible?

    many thanks,

Yes they can only be used there, they have a code on. One year I exchanged £200 for Bella Italia and got sick fed up going there so sent some of them back and they were added to next lot of vouchers, worth phoning them to ask if ok

I have to disagree, any of the general deals tokens can be used for other deals. So all the restaurant and days out vouchers can be used interchangeably, along with most of the other deals (buy in full offers are excluded, and certain others, e.g. Motorpoint).
  • Yes, deals tokens can be used at any of the deals except the pay in full deals, or ones that require special tokens like holidays.
I redeemed deals vouchers to go to Longleat last year and used the left overs in Cafe Rouge, and similarly this year bought Cafe Rouge and used some in La Tasca. No codes, definitely.
Also, left over holiday deals (which do have your surname on) can be used at other venues accepting vouchers for non paid in full deals - like restaurants.
  • if you go to the clubcard deal website and into the specific venue you have the deal for there will be a product code, and if the product code is used across a few venues there will be a 'where else can i use this token?' hyperlink - that will then list all other venues where that voucher code is applicable.

i had a quick check on cafe rouge and it looks like that might be a unique code so can't be used elsewhere.

I might be wrong, but that's how I understand it. I have heard of people exchanging unused deals with Tesco for different deals so it's probably worth giving them a call.

Thanks - that's worth knowing, as it's Virgin I want to book, so I can't really use so much for the deposit and the rest later then

Sorry for the delay in replying, we were in Florida (thanks in part to Tesco Vouchers!)

Unless you're paying for the whole holiday (i.e. the total amount, which has to be done at the time you book) in Tesco vouchers, you have to pay the deposit when you book by credit/debit card (they charge about 1.5% - 2% for credit card payments)

You can't add more tokens later. The balance is due about 8 weeks before you go.

no, once the deal tokens have been issued they can be used on any deal, that doesnt have to be paid in full (so think that only rules out the theme parks then)

i dont know how companies sign up to the Deals thing, but perhaps Tesco bill them based on what Deals are issued, rather than the companies having to send in the 'used' vouchers. means tesco dont pay out on printing/postage for things that might not be claimed. so the codes dont mean anything, other than for their own admin purposes? so they obviously dont care where they are spent, after they have been issued

    HI
I have £700 odd worth of deals tokens for Goldsmiths. I have changed my mind and want to return them for a credit back to my account. When I phones they said I should return them but send them recorded incase they went missing in the post. How does everyone else send theirs back as to insure them I will have to pay £5 for special delivery.

I am saving my CC vouchers but haven't managed to get enough yet, can I extend the expiry date on them?
  • Im devastated!! Have been using my points for deals for hotels for the past couple of years.

Go for a night for OH's birthday and then for mine but just for one night at a time.

Just found out they have changed the terms and conditions to a minimum of two nights only.

Thats us up the swanny. Cant do 2 nights as difficult to get child care for that long.

Will have to have a rethink on what to use vouchers for.
