    Hello

Could someone please help me. I am saving up my clubcard points to get laser eye surgery. I need appx £200 in points which I will exchange fpor deals. I need to know how much I would need to spend to get £200. I keep trying to work it out and get myself all confused which isnt that hard :rotfl:

I would really like to know so that I know what im aiming for and also how long it will take me. Many thanks

    You need to spend £20,000

£1 = 1p so multiply your target of £200 x 100 to get the number of pounds you need to spend. Better start looking for those extra points.

    You're welcome.

I have been really concentrating on Tesco points this year as I am a mad airmiles collector. It has taken me several years to save up enough miles for 2 long haul flights to Hong Kong and we go in November.

These points schemes are designed to make us spend more money so it's never going to be that easy to get what we want. I am pleased to say I have got £20 in vouchers so far this quarter, my most ever but that's only 480 airmiles so getting enough for 2 flights to the USA will take me approx 5 years at that rate. Still it took me about that long to get my Hong Kong flights.

Yeah your right about the points system making us spend more money I feel like I am never away from the place at the moment. Hope you enjoy your trip to Hong Kong :)

    Hi

I am about to order a magazine subscription token.

When I order will it allow me to start the subscription in a few months or do I start now?

I ask as my old subscription ends July 2008.

Should I order the token now and wait to order the subscription or do I wait to order the token?

    Thanks in advance.

Anyone know what the cheapest item I can buy with an almost time expired clubcard voucher is to enable the residual value to be recredted and reissued at a later date?

Or is there another way of extending CC vouchers beyond the printed expiry date?

Thanks in advance for any help - I live in Scotland if this makes any difference.

Have you tried ringing customer services and asking if they'll reissue? I've heard some people do this. I think it's quite common.

Have you got a Tesco visa card as well? You'll get points on all spending even elsewhere on that too and always put petrol in at Tesco too. Also, sign up for all the clubs, wine, baby, healthy living etc. If you look at Paid to Shop, people on there seem to know all the tricks of the trade and have 90,000 points for this quarter:eek:

I haven't quite trawled through enough pages to work out how they do it, but suspect a lot of is to do with effectively "buying" points. Like the Johnsons offer for bonus points, some people have said they've got 200 bottles of talc in the garage, etc! I draw the line at this, because I don't think the deals are that good.

I have one card for airmiles and one for saving up for a Virgin holiday, but the price you pay for the hol is top whack brochure price (and let's face it, in this day and age, no one pays that, do they?) So I reckon you're already "paying" more for the hol, even if the CC vouchers are worth 4 x in deals, so I refuse to buy my points. I just make sure I use all my till spits and have signed up to all the clubs and buy everything everywhere I can on my Tesco visa card, even if it's only a couple of quid!
