Please forgive me if Im in the wrong thread, Im just losing my MSE virginity!!

I have over 2000 Trsco points which I want to use on a day out on holiday in 2 weeks.
I havent recieved my vouchers and the Clubcard 'help' line have said they have been posted and cant be reissued until November.

Does anyone know of a way I can convert my points to Days Out tokens without having the vouchers?

    Thanks in advance

I've been saving my vouchers to put towards a clubcard deal. I have £10 of vouchers in my maiden name and the rest are in my married name. The clubcard number is the same on all of them.

Can i still send them all off to be changed into deal vouchers? anyone done this already.

    thanks

Hi and welcome to MSE

Unfortunately I dont think you can convert your points into Deals until you receive the vouchers - I haven't received mine yet either.

Once you do receive your vouchers, order your days out vouchers online. I did that last time, and they arrived the next day, they were really quick.

Edit - mine arrived at lunch time, yours will hopefully arrive very soon

  • Afternoon all,

Not sure what to do with a little Clubcard query I have. Just wondered if anyone else has had the same problem.

Like alot of people, I use my Tesco's CC for everything. I've spent £1425 in store/garage at Tesco's, and along with paying with my CC, I've used my clubcard with all purchases. I've spent £1382 using the CC outside of Tesco's. Having been through all of my statements, it works out at 1405 points at Tesco's (1 point for every £1 spent) and 334 points outside of Tesco's (1 point for every £4 spent), total 1739 points. On top of this, I also got car and health insurance quotes (500 and 200 points respectively) which I was told would go onto my August statement so I presume under the Finance section? This totals up at 2439 points. Yet on my August statement I received only 1253 points in the Personal Finance section!

Looks like I'm fairly short here! So having spoken to Tesco's, they've basically said they're right, yet I have the evidence through my statements that it's been miscalculated!

Am I missing something here? Do I get points for using my clubcard in Tesco's, then paying for it with my Tesco's CC (which is what the website has you to believe), basically doubling your points wach time you spend? Am I right in saying 1 point for every £1 spent at Tesco's and 1 point for every £4 spent elsewhere? Funny because the lady I spoke to from tesco's said I get 1.5 points for every £1 spend in Tesco's!!!

Anyone else had this problem and found a successful solution?

    Look forward to any help.

    Cheers,

    MaxedOutKev

We are having a few days in York and in true MSE style I have ordered some clubcard deals vouchers for Bella Pasta and the Ha Ha bar. I've used the smallest value ones I had £5 and £6.50 so I hope this is enough to cover most of a meal for 2.

We have eaten at the Ha Ha bar before but not at Bella Pasta so this is going to be a bit experimental, we dont eat much Italian, just pizza. I have checked the website and noticed Monday night is student night but I dont imagine its that bad in the middle of summer. Is there anything else we need to know? Can you use your clubcard deals with your student card?

Is there anything else we can order deals for in York?

I think you can use them to get in Jorvik.

Cafe Rouge is nice, I think there is one of them in York.

must confess im not a great drinker of wine (asti spumante is as adventurous as i get :D) , but was thinking of joining the wine club in the hope that they send you a bonus points for being a wine club member voucher, in the same way that they do with healthy living. can anyone confirm/deny this?

so you mean, if you use your tesco cc to pay for shopping in tescos, plus getting them to swipe your clubcard, you should be getting points for the clubcard, and the points again as you are paying with your card. if so, then no, you are wrong. you get 1.5 points per £ spent in tescos on your cc, and get no benefit from getting them to swipe your clubcard also. technically your tesco cc is viewed as a clubcard in tesco stores,it just pays a slightly higher rate

Yes, you get a mailing every couple of months, with some bonus vouchers for extra points when you buy certain wines.

We went to york about a month ago. Used clubcard vouchers to pay for Marriott Hotel (the Hilton is more central though and would use this if we went again).

Vouchers paid for the tour bus which you can hop on and off for 24 hours.

    Vouchers paid for Yorvik.

Vouchers paid for a very nice meal in Bella Italia but you must remember they will only take enough to cover the food not drinks.

Enjoy York, its one of my favourite places. :D

P.S. You can pay with vouchers to go in the dungeons as well which is well worth a visit. We didn't do it on this occasion as we have been before.
