Yes, well done on the debtbusting, you're doing really well. The fact you have your holiday money organised already means you shouldn't need to add to that debt and anything left over from the holiday can go straight to debtbashing too.

So jealous of the holiday but not jealous of how much it costs to have that sort of a break.

    Hi Swinstie

Catching up with other people's diaries I'm subscribed to and you are the only one who keeps hers up to date. I seem to be the kiss of death when I subscribe to a diary as they never post in it again!

Well done with getting your debts down yet again! :j Just think this time next year you'll be nearly debt free!

I'm not keen on flying - I love taking off and landing but not the bit in between unless there is absolutely no turbulence. I'm fine if the flight is smooth but the slightest bump and my heart is in my mouth! That's why we never fly too far for holidays.

Hope you get your internet sorted soon. You don't realise how much you depend on it until it goes down, I know I'd be lost without mine. You should get some money back for the inconvenience surely.

Have a great weekend and don't spend too much on those last minute holiday bits like me!

    Hi all,

Just a wee update before I head to bed. Got my internet back on Friday, the neighbour's brother was cutting down a shrub and nicked my cable with the trimmer. The guy didn't charge me but said it would've been £55, which I would not have been paying, the neighbour would. She has now been told to watch the cable, started going on about it being in her garden, eh how is that my problem, the cable was there long before I was (and she has cable too), numpty!

Anyway back on the net, but not been on much as trying to de-clutter my V+ box (now I have it back) and even managed to clean the bathroom, livingroom and kitchen (again), the bedroom has been started and NEEDS to be done by next Sunday. Fly out next Monday and I'm already stressed trying to organise everything. Roll on Friday to get off work, yeah!

Have a nice night everyone x

    Hi all (anyone)!

Well debt has crept up slightly to above £9.5K (just over), as booked the train/bus but OH has £45 to give me for that so should be back on track next month.

Phone BC to tell them was going on holiday, fine they said! Phoned again to say going to USA as well (just incase card got declined if I used it there) and they proceeded to tell me about the 2.74% charge for everytime you use it abroad - bl**dy rip off! Makes me determined now, NOT to use it unless it's for dire emergencies and no buying handbags and gladrags most definitely does not count, ha!

Anyway should have enough money, got £1K spending money now which I NEVER take but then again have never done the 10 days in a hotel either (have always stayed with sister), OH and I have already put £300 each (just over $1000) away for anything between us like meals etc. Think I will put a couple of hundred dollars away for the end of the holiday as I don't want to run out and use the credit card Should be ok, if I spend more, please commit me somewhere with a padded cell and no Visa terminals!

Will try and update before Friday (having the weekend off to pack), but if I don't get back on have fun and don't spend too much, will try and quickly update other diaries, sorry to anyone if I miss them out xxx

    Hi Swinstie

Well done on saving all that money. Just a tip for the hotel - don't buy snacks etc there. Buy them from a local supermarket - sooooo much cheaper.

And don't pick up any minatures to bring home - you've plenty to use up here still!;)

    Hi Swinstie,

Just wanted to say that I hope you have a great holiday and you get as much out of it as you possibly can.

Your diary has run away with me but I will work at catching up with it whilst you're away.

    Have a good one.

    Toodles.
