Hi all,
Only got 2 days left, got to catch a train back to Toronto tomorrow morning then an overnight stay then back to gloomy Scotland for us!
Have had a fab time, been a bit bad and used my Visa but only because I thought I was going to run out of money, have worked out that I will have spent roughly what I was going to bring anyway, so not all lost. Haven't been too bad, although I did buy 5 handbags including a fake Chanel one in NYC, it was crazy being led into secret back rooms to look at the fakes, felt a bit like a 'dealer' of some sort!
Hope everyone else has been MSE'ing it, I will be once back. Can't wait to get toiletry list updated and my budget started again, nothing like having a wee splurge to get me back on tracks.
Didn't get pushed over Niagara (or a proposal, ha) but think we will have to talk seriously about what is happening next, i.e. living together! In saying that, just got sis to order me my desk and chair for the laptop, so maybe I'm not ready yet! Although we have survived nearly a month together with me only getting mad a couple of times - he never notices, he's too easy going!
Anyway will catch up properly soon, also with other diaries xx0 -

Welcome home Swinstie! Glad you enjoyed yourself. Have missed following your diary. At least you have a good stock of new handbags! I'm trying very hard to resist buying a new handbag at the moment as I don't really need another one but the little devil on my shoulder keeps saying "you need a new bag for the new season". The angel on the other shoulder is saying I can have one when I'm debt free!!!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Hi all,
Well arrived back from hols on Wednesday and was looking forward to being off another couple of days i.e. yesterday and today, but now it is Friday I am depressed that will be back to work on Monday! Shouldn't complain I guess as it is a job that helps pay the bills!
Came home to loads of mail including a jury citation, damnation have never been called for jury duty and now looks like I could be sometime in the near future! Also need to deal with my credit card bills, the minimum payment has came off, just need to deal with the overpayments. Managed to register with Barclay for online credit card banking and just as well I did as the hotel in Toronto charged my credit card for the last night's stay, even though it was paid through the travel agent, am not a happy bunny! They also charged for left luggage which I guess will have to pay even though I wasn't told this was chargeable, so just another £30 between me and OH, we had to leave it though as check-out was noon and the bus wasn't until 5pm. Wish I had queried the bill though, just thought it was standard! I better get it back as it was £75!
Anyway spent most of the day watching taped stuff, including being up at 4am this morning cos couldn't sleep, think I'm still on Canada time, ha! Have emptied my suitcase, just need to put washing on and find somewhere for all my goodies. Will pop back later, hopefully with news from the hotel about the bill.
Did I mention I was depressed cos work is looming.....0 -
Woo hoo, just heard from the hotel, it was an error so a refund has been done! Also, the £30 wasn't for left luggage but an authorisation charge which should also disappear once the refund has gone through. So glad as that was an extra £105 I had on my card. Still not gone through my budget etc., been trying to catch up with tv, can't believe it is almost 4pm already, would be finishing work soon if had been in. Have done 2 washes but no more room to dry stuff so have to put some on tomorrow instead.
Sis has booked me for the gym tomorrow, just hope my membership has been re-instated or will have to pay. Things are looking up!0 -
