Finally got off my butt and updated signature etc., not looking great but at least it is going in the right direction. Haven't updated holiday spends as not on Visa yet, too scary . Hoping with payments next month, should still get under £9K.
Holiday ticker told me it was 25 days since my holiday started, makes me feel good to know it's over, NOT!
Next post will update totals, now hols are over should see a bigger change (for the better, I hope) x0 -
Totals at 1 Aug (last month)
£4,657 - Loan
£4,675 - CC1
£75 - CC2
£20 - Catalogue = £9,427
Totals now (at 1 Sept)
£4,512 - Loan
£4,400 - CC1
£50 - CC2
£39 - Catalogue (needed new bra)! = £9,001
Not too shabby but could be better. Nite all, jet lag getting me, was watching tv at 4am this morning, could be another restless nite xx0 -
Hey Swinstie,
You're back! for some reason I thought you had at least another week (obviously not!), so I think time must have run away with me.
You sound a bit down about being back, that's probably just the jet lag, it is hard, especially coming back. We always find the dampness of the UK affects us too. It will all soon pass and then happy memories will make it all worth while.
So, tell us, did you enjoy it? did you go to New York as planned? what kind of things did you do?
Your debt post above shows that your debt is still moving in the right direction, that's something that should keep you bouyed up, as you say "not too shabby" at all, it's better than increasing and also better than stagnating.
Welcome home!0 -
Hi Swinstie
Welcome back!!!
Love the bags and well done on not adding to your debt while you were away. Look forward to hearing your adventures now that you are back.

Hi Swinstie
Glad you're back in the groove. Love your bags - particularly the animal print one, it's the sort of thing I usually go for. Well done on your debt total - so close to being under £9k - that's brilliant!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

I WISH
Hi all, especially Kerfuf, Urg, Rupe, SH & SA!
I will update on hols later but just a wee quickie to say had a fab holiday and didn't spent TOO much more, well nothing more than I had planned to take originally anyway, ha! Glad you liked the bags, the yellow one I don't really like, god knows why I bought it, can't take it back now can I?!
Spent all afternoon going through my finances, think it might be a bit tight to pay by next Sept, so might have to extend to next Christmas, so I can at least have a bit of a life - decided on hols, that need to do more activities rather than just going to the pub on a Saturday night (inexpensive activities I hope).
Catch you later x0 -
Another wee quickie as I'm mega excited about being on my third (almost) NSD! Been bringing lunch in all week, and have only spent £2.48 yesterday on a new paper lampshade for my bedroom, bargain!
I do need petrol tonight but I'm not counting that as it is an essential in my eyes!
My 0% ends Dec 09, so going to apply for another one (and hopefully get it), and give myself til next Dec to pay if off, sooner if possible. My loan should definitely be paid off by Sept 10, really want it paid off early, as it would have another 18 months (after Sept 10) to run and that is too scary!0 -
