    Hello all, anyone?!

Not posted for a couple of days to try and get caught up with housework - I am doing really well, kitchen all done (apart from tonight's dinner dishes which I will do later), livingroom almost finished. It has taken me ages and I have the tiniest house as well, but I am doing a deep-clean, moving furniture, emptying cupboards etc.

I am knackered but want it all shiny and sparkling before the holidays, as can't have anyone coming in (to water plants/mail) to a midden.

Gonna sign off now as lappy has to be put away in order to get coffee table cleaned. x

    Hey Rupe

Good to see you around, have sent you a pm! Hope you come back soon dude, I always think of you when I hear that word!

Anyway, need to get my act together and start writing down my daily spends again, didn't do it over the weekend and think I ended up making most of it up tbh!

Bank account still looks ok but still not had my refund from Sky, it's only £4, but it's mine, all mine! Should have some overtime in July wage so hoping to pay off my Barclaycard so can take on holiday and not worry about a huge bill. Got a £0.00 bill in from RBS which is strange cos I cancelled it, will check tomorrow that they have cancelled it as it will limit my chances of getting another card later in the year! The guy kept trying to talk me into keeping it but I said no, he probably decided to ignore me. Numpty!

Anyway had a hard day cleaning, so off for a cuppa then bed for me. The ammonia is making me woozy.... or is that the Smirnoff Ice I just finished, ha! Nite all xx

Well done on all the cleaning. Your place'll be lush for when you get back from your hols.

I know what you mean about keeping a spending diary - it's when you fall out of the habit that things get harder. Nothing to list for me today - I mananged a NSD :p

    Good night

hi swinstie - glad you got to chill a little at the end of the day... it is things like that that can make all the difference.... - I've just had a bowl of strawberries, grapes and bananas with squirty cream - that feels luxurious to me!

Mmmm strawberries, grapes & bananas (with squirty cream), sounds fab! I'm trying to stick to a diet for the next fews weeks but I'd break it for that!

Started the bathroom last nite, the bath panel keeps moving in the way so gonna take it off tonight and clean under the bath, noticed white powdery stuff, goodness knows what that is. I will get the house sparkling by Aug 10th if it knocks me for six! Spoke to my friend who is getting new drawers (the wooden kind) and is giving me her old set (the wooden kind) which I will put in my cupboard at the top of the stairs for more storage.

Really need to throw loads more stuff out, but it's things like old concert tickets, momentos from holidays and although I don't look at them often it's nice to keep them, where is the problem!

Decided I also need more spending money for holidays, going for 24 days and thought maybe £50/day = £1200, got £800 just now so means looking for another £400 which I don't really have. Don't want to be short (well I am, but not gonna grow now at my age, ha), but don't really have the spare money to take. Help! Right gonna have to re-jig my finances.

Hope everyone else is well x

Woo, just went into update this and it did it automatically! Only 27 days and counting which means only 18 working days :j.

Gives me even more of an incentive to get the house in order. I want this done so I can go through my suitcase and see if I need to buy anything, just praying everything fits.

Only 10 days til payday and I will finally have paid off my Barclaycard, woohoo! My total will be just under £9.5K, gosh still seems a lot. Determined once it is down to £5K, it will never go above this again, obviously I will need to replace my car at some point but it's only 5 years old so might even be able to save for my next one!

A lovely MSE'r on another thread posted their Wish List, unfortunately they might never get to finish it, this has inspired me to start my own, even if just stupid things like save for a new tv! Will post it when finished and look forward to scoring it all off!
  • Congrats on the Barclaycard and I am intrigued by the wish list!
