Hi helnag,
I know the feeling, I'm now reading over 20 diaries (cos I'm nosy, ha) and trying to get a minute to post is torture. Been to the pics tonight, friend had Orange Wed so only £6.80 including popcorn.
Not to sure about the cleaning job, it would mean giving up at least one night at the gym and I enjoy going. Might not even get it anyway, but the extra money would help a lot. Dilemmas!0 -
I guess you need to weigh up the pro's and con's...yes it would mean extra money but you seem to work quite hard already. Also as you say it would mean giving up time at the gym and when you think about the extra hours you'll be working you'll probably be very tired so maybe have to give up more than one time at the gym in the long run...
I'm no good at this MS lark am I!!
Get the job earn loads of extra money and pay off your debts quicker....of course.

Hi Swinstie,
I love your diary, sat here reading it whilst I eat my breakfast (Greek Yogurt, Granola, Bananas and Strawberrys).
You could take take teh job but maybe only do it for 3 months or so, just to give you a push, or try and find another 2nd job that is not so many hours???
xxxxxx
I’m back and more determined than ever!!!!!0 -
Swinsters,
Back when I had a F/T job, I got as far as being offered a PT job, but then didnt take it even further. It was working in a restaurant, after being in the office all day. I was too tired and had no enthusiasm to do it.
Certainly give it a go and see what happens. You can always quit.** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010= £16,819.34 (not including OD)

HI Swinstie - hope you got the scratchcard problem sorted. With regard to a second job - every single night sounds a lot..... Perhaps try to find one with more hours on one or two nights only?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Afternoon everyone,
Finally a chance to update, been working with the new girl again, and boy can she talk, actually I'm just as bad so we are a good match. Nice to be working with someone who you get on with!
Anyway been very bad today, sent our wee student down to the canteen to get me a roll and bacon this morning, (wasn't as healthy as you Tash) oops, then panicked because had said I would put to a sponsor for the woman in the canteen for the Glasgow 10K, so sent him back down for some soup at lunch-time just so I could avoid the sponsor. I am very bad, BUT I had a good reason, honest. Gave money to guy in work who ran the London Marathon last week and well, basically I am skint this month - as they say charity begins at home! Will make up for it somehow.
Anyhow, the guy phoned me about the part-time job and I had to turn it down for various reasons a) they prefer you to start at 5.30pm which would mean missing the gym both nights and tbh I get so tired once I get home from work and the thought of going out again stresses me and b) I have holidays coming up and they probably wouldn't like me being off for nearly a month!
I said I couldn't commit to 10 hours a week so he said he would try and find me something with less hours or the weekend (done weekend work and hated it) but might try it for a couple of months! Let's just see if he gets back to me - feel bad though letting extra money slip through my fingers, but if it means taking longer to pay my debt and still have a life, that's the way it'll have to be!
Hope everyone having a good day, will catch up later x
P.S. Thanks for reading Tash - I'm subscribed to yours also!0 -

That's a lot of perfume!!!
I can see why you made the decision to not take the p/t job. I've thought about it and I can't see how I'd manage it on top of the day job and all the other things I want/need to do.0 -

I NEED HELP!
Hi Swinstie - You could give Boots Perfume counter a run for their money with that list!! :rotfl:I would DEFO ebay them!! You'll probably be pleasantly surprised at how much you get for some of them, especially the smaller 5ml ones. I read on another thread on here that someone actually sold an EMPTY "Angel" perfume bottle on ebay for £5.50 - the old saying 'one mans junk is another mans treasure' is soooo true! Not that I'm saying your perfume is "junk" but you know what I mean?!
Once you start ebay'ing you'll become addicted to it - I love checking my ebay to see how many bids and watchers my items have.
Why not list one or two to begin with to gauge how you feel about using it? Tonight is a good night to list, if you list on a Thursday on a 10 day listing your item gets 2 weekends exposure.... gee I'm sounding like a real ebay geek now!
Good Luck whatever you decide to do with them all!!0
