Hi girls,
Another question.
Is there a British Post Office in Gibraltar, my husband wonders if he'll be able to access his pension (paid into a post office account) whilst we are there?0 -

Yes, half way up Main street - there are also British banks all over, some that give you a choice of Gib Pounds, Euros or GB pounds.
You might want to check with your bank before you go however as I have been charged by A&L for withdrawing from some banks but not others - as you can imagine, was pretty much back and forth to ATM!
We were told 10.00 and 12.00 for weddings at the Dell - maybe its changed or depends on time of year. Have you checked 6.00pm with the Registrar? Seems late for civil servants to be working (speaking as one that is...lol)0 -
Thanks Niall, sorry I should've said 'guys' as well! lol
There's a post earlier here that says weddings at the Dell are 12 noon and 6 pm, we thought 12 noon in August would just be too much hence 6pm.
Haven't rung the registrar yet, my daughter wants to tell her Gibraltarian friends first and they're visiting next weekend!0 -
Hi both
When I went to book the registra last month they gave me a choice of 12 or 6.
Sal, the smells of the flowers in the evening will be gorgeous xx0 -
I think she's leaning towards 6.
We've just spent an hour drooling over Maggie Sotterro destination dresses online, I think a trying on session is definately in order! lol
Problem is our local stockist doesn't stock destination so it's a day trip to the nearest one that does, I think we'll have to make a note of the favourites and make sure they've got them in stock!
We've also had a chat about airports and they are going out ahead of us and will meet us if we fly into Gibraltar to help with the baby and the bags but don't want to go to Malaga (can't really blame them) so hope the Monarch flights start off at a reasonable price when they eventually come on sale!0 -
I flew into Gib last month and it cost me £100 for the one way, that wasnt school hols tho.
I need to start thinking about trying on dresses.0 -
Don't forget your passports - and remind your guests too, I know its a simple thing, but you would be surprised the amount of times we've done it and we've been living here for ten years!!
