In my school if you take your child on holiday in may or June they will not stop you but the holidays will not be authorised. That is for all year groups not just for the ones taking SATS.

Me too, but my DS is one of the naughty ones too!

I still didnt take the risk but had already paid the deposit. When i managed to get a free break from pontins too they wouldnt let me take that either :( And even though DS is naughty at times he still has 100% attendance.

Still looking back it did me a favour otherwise id be in even more debt than i am now :o

KS1 sats are the start of the next term in out school.
As for the holiday policy, it is up to the headteacher, but most schools I know dont object to some time off.
    £2 Savers club £0/£150
    1p a day £/

Unlike KS2 sats KS1 sats do not have to take place in a specified week. I would speak to your child's teacher to check when they are planning to do them. I know in my school the headteacher expects a written letter asking for permission to take children out of school during term time. She does have the right to refuse a request if the child has already taken time out for a holiday during the school year.

why would it affect my children? the school would provide a supply teacher so it is fine by me i'm quite an easy going person i never get stressed out about simple things in life.just as long as they make sure they get their sun cream from home bargains and dont get ripped off thats what i say!:rotfl:

i agree across, i take full advantage of the 10 day allowance every year!

I wonder how many complaints there would be if all teachers took a 10 day allowance per year on the grounds that they too have to pay full price for holidays during school holidays.
